quote:

TOW= Time on Water!

That is the primary reason right there.

Something else I have learned about them is they have patience. They fish different than 80% of the field by thoroughly working over an area that they have confidence is holding fish (based on TOW).

That time on the water gives them the confidence they need to be patient, thorough, and efficient.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

LOL......Time on the water is a big part of finding and staying on fish most of the time..
Truely we got lucky more than a few time this past season.
Making the right decisions in a tournament as to locations, bait, and depth of presentation are key to success or failure.
Then again instinct and a feel for the fish doesn't hurt either.
Some time back, I realized "I" was trying to will the fish into doing what "I" wanted them to do.
Once I started letting them tell me, things got better.

Well if I listened to what the Fork fish told me I'd be back fly fishing for steelhead. Never thought bass could be as finicky as trout in a gin clear stream, but thats probably how this obsession developed. My shrink can't even help me. Did the ink blot game and everything looked like some kinda creature bait or crank and then she started freakin out got real mad when I said sweet beaver, yo mamma, sexy shad, dd22 deep diver, hot lips, double wide beaver, naughty bug, and super high tail then she finally kicked me out thought I called her a super hog with a flappy trailer. Told me I was freak bait sick. Yep beyond help now.

PQ, would you pinch Sinkey. Heeeeeeee's dreaming again....

Tommy you are correct, I AM THE BEST NET BOY
on lake Fork. I'm having TWN tattooed on both arms over the off season..

When I say a feel for the fish...
That just means : what they(the fish)should be doing at a certain time of year and being close to right every now and then..
That's the lucky part !!!

I can remember at least 3 tournaments this season when we culled 2 or *more* fish with less that 30-mins to head back to check in.
Kay played a big part in 2-of those events,
she will not quit or give up. It's battle to her, and she is pretty good at it..
I may have taught her a lot of things, but that isn't one of them. She came by that all on her own..

Twin brothers from different mothers - perfect. Definitely proves that there must be a distinct multi species evolutionary advantage to having such a profile.
