The best time for Reds I thought was in the fall. Bigun is in South East Louisiana so from Houston it would be about a 5 hour drive. If you want to go fishing on the Texas Coast, I know a good saltwater guide who can put you on some redfish.  Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
