Well how did you Master Blasters do??? El Sinkey said the birds were as many as "Stars in the sky" "quote from the movie Mountain man(Charlton Hesston/Brian Keith) .. Many limits were had.. I still to this day love the smell of gunpowder in the morning, actually any time.. I don't hunt any more, but like to hear the stories. Sinkey didn't even hunt......after all that talk his wife made him stay home for family day. Shopping, cooking out, buying baby diapers, and stuff like that. I feel sorry for ole Sink. I hate it when my wife makes me go shoppin' with her for curtains and then those trips to Bed-Bath and Beyond, the antique shops and the worst of it all, tea pot shopping. Why is it that guys with AFRO's are always haters! We've shot limits every time we've stepped foot in Frisco. I think Im up to 90 birds in the freezer right now and still going. I have not event taken the gun out. This is the first time since who knows when that I did not dove hunt on opening day. My favorite field near Windom was not on the TPWD list this year so I did not even get the annual public hunting permit. I need to find somewhere to go shoot a limit of birds so I can have at least one meal of dove for the year. I'm about ready to go west and pay for a day hunt...  Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Tweet Tweet - Yankees don't pay to hunt nutin. Get the annual public hunt permit and check out LBJ Grasslands up 287 in Decatur. Not to many people good grasslands and older forests not to many people at all after opening week. Have taken a deer every year I've been here with gun and bow no trophies but mmmm taste good. | ||||||||||||

I have been on some trail rides on the LBJ and seen plenty of deer sign. My wife and daughter went on a weekend ride there last weekend but did not see any deer. I usually take a picture of every fish I catch thats 9lb or better.....its not that its bragging just one that big is a toad. LBJ is bow, slug and muzzleloader only. which is cool with me cause I don't have a rifle, couldn't hunt with one where I lived. Some quail there too. Best public land hunting I've found close to me. Both Gun and Bow season is a little crowded first week but that's it after that you can have the run of the place. | ||||||||||||
