I am working with a team trail that has been around for a couple of years. They are trying to cater to anglers between OKC and north DFW. They fished Texoma, Murray, Arbukle, Eufaula and Sardis this year. The Championship was on Texoma last weekend. Vince and I took second. Anyway, we talked about adding Ray Roberts to the schedule next year. They also have a fall trail that starts in November and will make stops at Murray, Texoma and Arbukle. Toyota of Ardmore stepped up and donated 2009 Tundra as a prize for next year. I would like your feedback. Any other lakes that are a possibility? We have several Texas teams already but I think they could draw more if they went south. BassZone.com

In the works hotfoot. Does Ray Roberts host a lot of tournaments? Last year 1st paid $2500 guaranteed. The trail averaged 70 boats and paid 1 in 5. $150 per team with a $45 membership fee per angler. $10,000 was paid for 1st in the Championship. We are working on bumping the payout up to $10,000 for 1st and $5000 for 2nd in all regular season events. Also, the 2009 Toyota will be given away. Still working the details out on that. They must be doing something right to get the sponsorships they are getting. Ray Roberts gets some tournaments but not as many as the north Texas non-slot lakes. It is definately a good lake with lots of cover. I still have not decided what all I plan on fishing next year other than the Lake Fork Media trail. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Ray Roberts doesn't get very many tournaments due to the slot. Most of the big trails don't mess with slot lakes other than Fork. Sounds like a good trail. I may be interested if I ever get another boat. If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related. My bass club webpage http://texbass.8m.com/

We are looking at Broken Bow, Hugo and Pine Creek as options for additional lakes with Texoma, Murray and Eufaula as the main lakes. We have a proposal that would allow $10,000.00 for 1st, $5,000.00 for second and pay 1 in 6 places. This is based on 150 boats. The new Tundra will be given as a door prize. BassZone.com

Pay Mayes is a good lake. Love fishing tournaments there. May be to small for a 150 boat tournament though. I don't know anything about the other lakes mentioned. My club used to fish pine creek and they loved it but I have no experience on it. If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related. We are just trying to find lakes that will appeal to both north Texas and Oklahoma anglers. 150 boats is the problem. I would schedule Texoma as much as possible but we don't want to be like some other trails that only visit one lake. Thanks for the input. BassZone.com

If Ray Roberts drops the slot then you would probably draw the boats you are looking for from this region. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
