Well, looks like my tendons are healthy and there are no tissue tears. Some inflamation in the Labrum but no Labral tear. Based on the fact that I do not have a torn rotator, no slap tear, no bursitus, etc... Then it must be a rare case of "frozen shoulder".

What bugs me is that I do not fit the criteria for the typical diagnosis and fall into the 1% of people with this condition.

Well, he wants me to take my anti-inflamatory drugs and start physical therapy next week. If in 2 weeks I am not getting better then he will send me in for a bone scan.

All I can say is that I hope he is right.....
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Hopefully this works. Better than surgery.

You got lucky on not needing surgery, heal up and get ready for February 14-th. I'm glad you know what it is now.... Drugs-----lotz-a-Drugs...

I was expecting that, just from a different person... lol... :-)

I'm still not "bought in" to the diagnosis. Hopefully he is right. The first visit I was given possible diagnosis and handed a pamphlet to read. After the MRI I was given a different diagnosis and another pamphlet to read accompanied by a URL to go checkout and read up on. I guess what I don't feel comfortable with is the fact that I am getting a brief statement from the doctor then handed a pamphlet to read up on myself. Nothing is being explained to me and my questions are not really getting answered by the doctor -- I'm expected to go find the answers on my own. Is this how doctors are now? What happened to the days when they would take the time to address your concerns and answer your questions.

Mike, you have to be a professional athlete and go to one of their doctors to get that kind of service.

I had a wierd injury one time where the bottom of the bicep was a bit ragged where it attaches near the forearm. They did the electroshock, buzzy stuff for about 12 treatments and some cute girl messsaged it (bicep) for me. I had to lay off the exercise and it healed in about 3-4 months while not using it.

Good luck with this. You might want to call around until you find a doctor that knows your injury when you describe it.
Thanking the Lord, all day long
