so need to put new batteries in the boat. Trying to figure out which ones are the best for me. The boat gets used 2-3 times a month. Most of the time I don't charge the batteries when I get back from the lake they will get charged the night before I go on the trip the next time. I didn't put a disconnect on the puck for the gps so that battery will get drained when I don't charge the batteries for a while. I tend to fish lake austin the most which means leaving the lake by noon because of all the pleasure boaters coming out. This means the batteries rarely get run down from use. So with all this info which type of batteries and brand would be best for me? |

The cheapest you can find WES. None of them will last very long if you don't charge up and keep them hooked up immediately after coming off the water. BPS offers a good unit(3-bank) for around $119.00 bucks that will keep 3-batteries hot day and night.. That way you just plug and play whenever you want and don't give it a second thought.. Just keep and eye on the water from time to time.. JM2C's Just last week I bought 4-new ones for Big Red. Cablea's AGM series 27 with 15% off out the door price was $805.00 for the set. OUCH.. The old ones lasted almost 6-years at 100+ plus day a year on the water.. Not bad really, if you think about it.. KBD Fishing

You can get a couple of years out of the batteries from Academy. I think that will be your best bet. You will end up spending under $150 for all three. Billy, that boat already has a 2 bank. It wouldn't hurt to get a 3 bank and make sure the crankin battery stays full. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

AC/Delco have held up the best for me in the past but have found none of the brands last much more than 2 yrs. I have been getting whatever batteries the Fleet Supply company have been having on hand lately. I was shocked how much batteries have went up lately! Quit being a mad, little bald man!

I'd make the guy you bought the boat from buy you some batteries. It appears he sold you a bill of goods Just curious, why not charge them when you get off the water? Nothing will kill batteries than not charging after use and low water. |

might get better about that charles but in the past I didn't keep the boat at the house so if it was a sunday I would typically drop it back off at the storage place after leaving the lake instead of dragging it around austin traffic on monday morning. |
