Since that other topic had several people discussing meeting up at Fork this weekend I figured I would start a new thread.

If ya'll are serious about meeting up for dinner at Mosers around 6:00PM then why don't we just launch at Lake Fork Marina and make it easy?

I will not get to the lake until noon at the earliest due to the 9:00AM basketball game.

Do ya'll want to meet up on the water or just for dinner?
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I could definitly do some food after fishing. We will probably fish a 9-5 day and could be there by 6:00pm

We normally decide where we are putting in the night before.
Thanking the Lord, all day long

Mosers at Lake Fork Marina is a good place for breakfast. I recommend the "beggars skillet", it's so good you'll want to slap your fishing partner.

Thanks Charles,
I'll give it a shot. We won't be getting down there till about 9 or so. I don't see any reason to get out on the lake to early :-).

Redskeeter- You had better not start taking to much smack to Mike so soon. He might end up going with out a cap, and blind you on the lake :-).

Good luck to everyone who goes. Since it is just too far to drive for a day of fishing I guess I'll just have to stay around here and catch my 100-150 speckle trout for the weekend depending on who I can con into going.

Hey, I just wanted to drop a quick line to say it was a pleasure to meet some of ya'll yesterday. It was cool to put some faces with the names here that spoken to.Also it was cool to see old friends I haven't seen in awhile.

I did terrible fishing,it was really tough. My arm and shoulder are killing me this morning from throwing that trap.*phew* I'm getting old. LOL.
I always have a great time when I'm on the water. This time was no different!!
Thanks again for letting me tag along.

Yes it was very nice to meet everyone as well as see some old friends, Kyle and I had lots of fun (well, except the part about my trolling motor going on strike)! Slow fishing is always made better by good friends and great weather.

Thank you very much, Kyle really enjoys speaking with everyone as you could tell he never stops talking. ;)

Yea, there was a connector where the battery wire that leads to the encapsulated circuit board in the foot pedal was not seated properly from the manufacturer. I connected it but after taking some voltage readings I think something failed inside the circuit board because of the previous intermittent connection which caused some sparks and a small burn area on a couple wires. I think it will be an easy fix, so off to Southwest Parts and Service to see Bob.

It was great to see everyone again and spend some time on the water. The fishing was tuff for sure and I was happy to get the bites I did. I wish I would have at least been able to get a glimps of the one that broke me off... Oh well, that is fishing this time of year.

Terry, It was a pleasure meeting you and Kyle and spending some time together. Thanks for all of your help getting launched and loaded and thanks for dinner. Kyle is well on his way to a successful future in the fishing industry. Froggy's sure picked him up quickly... :-) I'm glad the trolling motor can be fixed without having to buy a new one... I was talking to Darby on the way home and he was willing to bet that it was a switch -- says he goes thru 3 a year.

Shaun, it's been a long time since I have seen you buddy! Great to spend some time together and catch up. Hopefully you and Don can make it out again when the fish are a little more cooperative.

Tom & Chuck, how was the fishing on Sunday? Great seeing you both again!

I was great to see everyone out there. Nice to meet Don and Shaun. Dinner and breakfast were the highlights of the weekend for me.

The fishing was not any better for us on Sunday.

Where I thought the water should be warming up, it was still cold or colder. I felt just clueless when I got off the water Sunday.

The lake looks down about a foot and a half from what we had last year at this time. I think last year it was about a half a foot high if I remember right.
Thanking the Lord, all day long

All in all a good week-end with the weather being mild for sure almost reminded me of an early April day. Fished my side most of the day then went hog hunting down south in some deep water holes but no big mammas just solid slotters and some unders. I need a Fat Girl for sure!

The fishing was, and has been REAL BAD of late..

Saturday 5-Bass in 3-hrs, 3-unders, 2-slotz best@ 4-lbs..

Sunday 7:30am-10:30am NOT A BITE... I was out SOLO.. Looking around.

Monday 11:30am-3:00pm 3-bass 1-under, 2-slotz best @6+lbs, Kay did catch a Jig Fish **FINALLY**
Man, I hope it gets better before the 14-th or we're all gonna look pretty bad..
Best water temp I had was 48' down south 45.5 up north.. We need some 50+ degree temps and things will change in a hurry.
It's been a battle to find a pattern any where on the lake.. FYI..

Hahahaa yea Sinkey give us a report about what......HOW THE VACUMING OR CHORES ARE DONE OR HOW TO SPOIL THE WIFEY???????????

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I crack myself up.......

Picou.....come on get skunked hahahaha

Fishing was tough...but we did manage a limit of unders with a few slotties to go with them. It was wierd and this happened to us last year. If I hung one and my partner through in the same spot we both hooked up on traps it was like they turned on for that split second then nothing after that. One time me and my buddy hooked up and Eric was right next to us he threw in and also hooked up. Crazy fished that area for probably another hour and nothing. Don't know what it is? Has anyone else done this because its happened a few times. Its like when one gets hooked they get into a feeding frenzy. Hope they do that on the 14th for sure.
