When it warms, Wes and I will head up.

We have to load up on yellow cats and stock one of John's tanks too. Should be a few good stories to come out of that I am sure? :-)

:-) Wonder why it took me so dad gum long?

I need to purchase a good kayak and hit the lakes around Austin. Even though I have salt water in my veins, I certainly love to bass fish too. Anything that gets me outdoors is a good thing.

Other than washing the truck, mowing the lawn, working on the roof, etc... "anything that gets me outdoors is a good thing"

Hook up with Clark, he knows the bass fishing around there in that kind of setup for sure. We will definately have to do some fishing this spring.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Will do. Noticed a bunch working the old Colorado around town. Some nice fish to be had and the Stripers are there (not in numbers) so maybe some of my old East Coast Salt tricks might work? :-)

You and Wes need to head down instead of up. I'll put U guys on more fish than Picou could ever think about.

Rob - I have recently discovered the deep water scene and I love it! If you ever need a partner on a weekday - let me know! If you cannot use your boat for shallower water and want to try Galveston Bay - I go in the bay frequently - let me know if you want to go.

We need to plan a trip to fish down there Wade.
Rob, we can start running trotlines after deer season. John will supply us with the bait, we just need to get out there and get it done. The neighbor is going to let us launch the boat from his place, much easier access to the river then from my place.

Thanks for the offer Dean! Galveston bay is my old stomping grounds. I had some excellent success fishing the quarantine dock (near the Coast Guard base) back in the day. That inside portion of the jetties near the CG Base has a few holes that are unbelievable during the redfish run....heck that's going on now!

Wes we certainly will get over to Wade's when it warms up some. Just fishing with Wade ought to be quality entertainment. Nothing better than bass fishing for redfish.

I told John I wanted to fish one of his tanks when I loaded up ice on the last hunt trip..... I wanted to catch Yellow Cats only. Didn't want to mess around with no stinkin sissy channels or blues. You should have seen the look on his face. He knew we were serious about setting up one of those tanks with some yellers and it's going to be an absolute blast getting it done. I can't wait, just need to remember skeeter spray.

We still need to hit Lake Fork with Mike and out fish him on his home turf. Heck, I'll toss shrimp tail jigs and still whup him

Bring it on Rob... Just remember it is a long ride home listening to Wes complain about being out fished... :-)

Wade can catch some fish. Every time I have been with him we have caught plenty, even under the worst conditions. Just be careful, something always happens when we were on a fishing trip. But, the entertainment value is definately high. :-)

It's all about the entertainment value!

Rob - Holes - Can you give me some idea where and what to look for on my depth finder? We went out Wednesday and the water at the rocks was too rough. We headed in and fished greens, the rr bridge, and the channel but ended up with 1 keeper flounder and 6 or 7 throwbacks and some sand trout - after a whole day. Would have been nice to catch some Reds or Specs! The biggest catch I saw at the cleaning table was 4 flounder. Most people were empty handed!

Also with the Flounder run kicking off - any locations you'd recommend?

Well - if you make it down here and want to go - let me know - I can always use more training! Maybe one day someone will come along and outfish me down here - MAYBE!
