Hey guys. I've started looking for another boat. I've decided to go with a little older model to get back into something now. I'm looking for a 98 or newer that is at least 19'. I don't mind scratches but don't want one that's been abused. I'm trying to stay under 12K. Let me know if you have any buddies selling something like this.

Tex,
Vince is selling his ZX225. It is an 07 fully loaded with 2 Lowrance 332C, 797 Hummingbird Side view, etc. He wants 30k. I know that is kore than you want to spend but it is a great price for this boat.

You might want to check out Craigslist.com. There is a pretty good selection there.

I'm checking craigslist daily. Actually looked at a couple in OK Sunday but they were a little rougher than what I was looking for.

Charles I wish that boat was closer. I had seen that ad already. What model was your Basscat?

Pantera Classic.

Keep in mind, most of these guys trying to sell boats will deliver within reason.

A buddy of mine just bought a boat from Illinois and they guy meet him in Texarkana.

You might want to check www.basscat.com they have a chat forum with boats for sale. Another site is www.impactfishing.com and of course www.boattrader.com

I appreciate the offer Mike. I've already turned down an 06 zx225 for 23K. A guy in my club said he would sell it me at that price but everyone else was 28K. I just couldn't do it.

Charles, there's a 99 cougar in AR for under 14K that I've been looking at on the owners page. It has an optimax which I think is the first year for them. That scares me a little I think that year motors had issues.

I do believe that year motor did have issues. Plus that boat is rated for a 225 or even a 250 and that boat has a 200HP, way under powered in my opinion. Plus it says it's been sold.

Be patient in looking. The friend I mentioned above has been looking for a year. He finally found the guy in Illinois and made him a low ball offer six months ago and they told him he was nuts. They guy couldn't sell it and had already bought and took delivery of another boat (two boat payments). Needless to say my buddy boat a nice boat for dirt cheap because he was patient.

Have a customer in the RV park that has a black 1996 300zx Skeeter with a 225 efi. Boat is super super clean, think he wanted 10k. He let me use it for a few days and it was sweet. Don't know what lake it came off of, but the hull is too clean to have been on Fork.

Only issues with was the older graphs and trolling motor, they work fine but I felt handicapped...and the back end looks like 2 giant hemorrhoids.

Call me on my cellphone 903-850-1488 if you are interested and I'll look up his info and get you in touch with him.

Alright here's the details. 98 Triton TR21 with a 225 Merc EFI. It has the aftermarket kevlar hull installed and the loc-r-bar system. The boat is great condition for the age. I think with a little work I can have it looking even better. It's going to be a big change from my 18' javelin. I won't be quite as nervous on Texoma when the wind kicks up. Here's a few pics.

Thanks guys. I bought it from a Fork regular. His name was Mark Child. Really enjoyed talking fishing with him while going through the process of buying the boat. I told him about the site and that there were some Fork retulars on here so maybe he will join the group.
