I went bowfishing for the first time ever last night with Marshmaster Charters in Leeville, La. The tides were really low and South wind had the water dirtier than normal but the reds were still pretty easy to spot once they got on the move. We did not see one drum or sheephead all night though assume water was not clean enough. Riding in thie UFO looking airboat out into the marsh was almost as fun as shooting at the fish. Man it was fun and definitely something I will be doing again. Hit my first 4 redfish but 1 pulled off before getting back in the boat but then started thinking too much and overshooting the fish. After a while though I got back to pointing and shooting and the carnage was on again. Other than Misty the deckhand having to tell me each time to hit the trigger so all the string did not get pulled out I did fairly well (she earned her money that night). We had our 30 reds shot by 11:30 pm and on our way back to the dock. Did not take the best pictures in the world but the shooting was very sporadic and would go along way without seeing any and suddenly would be reds everywhere. Not time for pictures! :-) I'm definitely addicted and ready for the next trip already.

Anticipation!

Another boat leaving in front of us.

Weapons of choice!

Hunter and his dad on alert.

Got 'em!

That looks like a heck of a time Wade... Thanks for sharing the pictures and making us dream about South La.....

Did the meat bruise from the shot?
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Could not tell you Mike. I did not clean them or keep any of them. Last thing I need right now is more fish with the way they have been on fire. Another thing to love about S La.
