It was a great time hanging with new friends but the fishing was off. Just too many little ones to even count. My biggest was 4.11ozs. There were (2) 9's and just a few in the 6-7 range but for 14 guys and 4 days of 10hours fishing this was very poor for Mexico fishing. You'd catch tons a little fish beating the step banks but the bigger fish were deep points and hump on rigs. You may have put a gun to my head after two days of dragging rigs for 1.5 lbers. Believe it of not it would have been hard for me to get a 10.00lb sack for the day after catching 40 fish. On the way down there we dropped off two guys at El Salto Lodge (Ron Speed) the day we got there and met them at the airport on there way back and they killed them. They both had 9's and too many 5's, 6's and a few 7's to boot. ( knew it!!) This Fork fishing is killing me... Small fish now seek me out everywhere I go even to Mexico (what¡¦s up with that!!)...Really it was an extremely frustrating fishing trip for me, knowing what El Salto has done and then having this happen really was a kick in tha pants. I was an 1.5 hours from El Salto and it was killing me not to say "Someone take me to El Salto see ya later" The traveling in and out of Dallas was one totally messed up deal. Flights were cancelled, delayed everything else. Some guys were a day late getting there because of the weather in Dallas and Houston. On the return trip Saturday I was sicker then heck form my sinus¡¦s being screwed up and I was completely wore out. Everyone was being checked out by the doctors in Mexico for body temps at the airport before leaving Mexico. I was so lucky to get out of Mexico with a bad as I was feeling I was praising God. Heck, I didn¡¦t even make it back to Dallas Saturday afternoon! Our plane ended up getting diverted to Austin at 11:00pm and on US Air with not even a kiss and no way to get back other then the next day by going back to PHX and then on to Dallas which meant another full day of traveling. I got a hotel for the night and took a SW flight home the next day which was also delayed so I didn¡¦t even get home until Sunday at 12:00noon. Saturday I traveled for nearly 20 hours¡K Car, plane, bus whatever¡K Good News. Yesterday the American Doc gave me a shot in the rear and handed me a Z-pack and said you be ready to go by Friday! FYI, I did much better at Cedar Creek before I left. We ended up with a 3rd place finish and $300.00 cash with (5) 12.00lbs even. Bummer on the little fish and the sinus infection... I guess we need to just go out and catch a couple of "overs" this Saturday to make up for it...  Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
