Wes and I did not catch the numbers of fish that we would have liked to but we did have one that went 2.68 lbs and was good for $500...

We committed to the deep water stuff and it was most certainly less stressful. Unfortunately, most of the good deep water locations were covered up with boats.

I heard that Tom & Chuck got a check on Saturday as well. Not too sure of the details but hopefully he will chime in and let us know.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Congrats to Mike, Tommy C and Chuck. I saw Eric cashed a couple. I guess his summer fishing is getting better.

Man, we caught some toads out deep and up shallow.
Kay had the sore/raw thumb syndrome Sunday. LOL...

Would have had a decent 5- fish string both days,
it was take'n some stud unders to cash..

Always does in the Skeeter, them boyz can fish.

Talked to Troy this morning and he is selling that new boat for $30k if anyone is in the market for a great deal on brand new Skeeter...

I would love to buy it but I doubt I can get the monthly payments low enough. I am still going to make all the phone calls to various lenders and see what I can do. It is one of those rare opportunities to get into a great boat for a great price.

Had a good time fishing the Skeeter T again this year. Fishing for us was slow but we made a choice to ride it out on the deeper water and try to figure things out. We caught a couple of good fish prefishing. Saturday sucked for me. I broke off a good fish early sat am and it just put me in a funk for the rest of the day that I couldn't get out of. I think that was the only bite I had on Saturday. PQ managed around 5 or so for the day. Sunday was better for me on the fishing and did take one fish into weigh-in but it wasn't big enough to get a check.

Congrats to Michael and Wes on the 5 bones. Way to go.

We wore the slots out on Saturday to 23 ½ and had about 12-15 unders to go with them. Chuck and I cashed a dink check Saturday and I took an early out Sunday at 7:45am after weighing in a fish that was over 16. I measured it again right before I took it to the weigh-in line and it never touched using the same board as Skeeter/Basschamps used. It was one of those warped looking fish with the crooked spine.
Thought we could get a check early and pick up another before the finish. Did not quite work out, lol.

Anyways, great time out there for Skeeter. It was not near as crowded as I anticipated. Fish were biting, great food, fun weekend, no regrets.
Thanking the Lord, all day long
