So why so many small sacks. Seemed to us the bigger fish were buried in da grass and ya had to clunk em on the head.

We caught a lot nice slot fish when we were shallow. Moved out deep where we found some great under fish last weekend with near ZERO results.
I guess SRA pulling that much water the day and night before didn't give the fish enough time to get positioned back like they were.
Cause they sure weren't there, we spent to much time looking and not catching.

When we finally decided to stay semi shallow, it paid off some what, more dinks and slotsLOL..

I told Kay we just can't win like this, we were on our final spot fishing a point in Lil Caney,
boats in 18-ft throwing to 25 foot.

When a Blue Ranger see us and heads our way, It was Harry & Larry the two guys that won with nice over..

Of course they had to RUB-IT-IN a bit. as they started to leave Kay and I double up on fish at the same time right in front of them.
Again--- one Dink and one Slot, I caught the dink.. LOL.

That's about how it went for us, very frustrating all day.

we found fish early and in the shallows and worked them over real good. We culled one fish at the bridge just before weight-in. The grass was good for slots or just too small for us. I'm really glad we ended up with a check...I didn't think I was going to happen.

It was definately nice to finish the season with a check... We came very close many events but just could not get over that hump for a payout.

Now let's go kick some tail in the Championship and take the whole thing!!!! :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
