I'll be hitting Fork...I kinda miss her after cheating by hitting Lewisville and Cedar Creek.
I wonder how Billy's is doing at the coast...

C'mon Friday...... I am looking forward to the long weekend and some time with the family. No trips to the lake for me, just a good 'ol fashioned weekend with the family.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I will be heading to the Fork this weekend. It could be my last trip for a while because I am having my left knee scoped next Thursday and the right one done as soon as I can get around good enough. I might be able to work a trip or two in between. I just don't know yet how the rehab will go. The way I look at it is my knees have hurt for so long now the recovery and rehab can't possibly be that bad.

Heading North for a few days - Fishing a speck on the map called Lake Umbagog, which has waters in NH and Maine. Smallmouth bass are ravenous this time of year, and mad- you ever look into the eyes of an angry smallie - it is scary. They put on the feedbag before the 6 or 7 months of winter gets started up there ;)

Maybe thats why they are so angry.

Senko
Green jigs
Carolina rigs
Spinner bait
Thats my line-up

I'll bring some punkin tubes too- with respect to my little bro's suggestion. Funny to see how this string started - must run in the family

I got to put up with some of my wife's family. Not looking forward to it. Guess I'll try to make the best of it since I can't fish.

I feel sorry for you Bigun. Can't believe your good for nothing wife's cousin would come to town and not go fishing. If I was you I would go fishing every day and come back and make them clean the fish for you.
As for the rest of ya'll, good luck fishing this weekend. I am headed to the North Texas lease this weekend and try to get some feeders and stands ready for deer season.

Even though I don’t know Bigun or family personally, I agree with you Wes. Also, I think that cousin should have to buy and pick up the beer.

If you noticed Wes' comment on good to nothing: Wife's cousin never buys anything Tom. I'll post some pictures after this weekend to see if any of you know this low life (imagine he is well known in the poacher category). He lives somewhere up in the Lake Fork area. I got little respect for him.

New England records for me-- this lg-mouth was 6 lbs and I got a smallmouth a little over 4 lbs - great weekend. PERFECT conditions - could not have been a better time to be up on the Maine/NH Border. Do you sometimes miss Smallie fishing Yank?? -
They tug so hard ... :-)

I credit my little brothers El'Salto training camp for these bass!! I brought a little Mexican MOJO to the Great Northern Winterlands

Sometimes? Grew up fishing smallies ON DA BIG PONDS (Erie and Ontario) and Northern Canadian wilderness lakes(ie real lakes with no dams). The biggest difference like you said is the native wild smallies in cold water are hungry vicious and just plain badass mean. If anyone wants to plan a good smallie trip go to the lower Niagara (Lewiston, NY) in August Frank Campbell is a good guide if he's booked he'll hook ya up with some other river rat. 50 to 100, 4 to 5 pound smallies a day is normal. I've had guys fishing with me give up and quit cause their wrists get so sore.

It was a good trip.. and I brag whenever I can.

Going to Cape Cod for a long weekend in a few weeks. Hopefully another chance to brag?

Tonight I'm heading to Endicloud with Chris. I bet I'm standing in the Susquehanna river in about 15 hours. I am bringing your chartruese curly tail with me.
I need speedie sauce anyway. I'll say hi to people for you
