Just a few little ones from the Susquehanna- not too much time spent working for them, just a couple hours.

What is a 'pig monkey?' from the context its a big fish. Is it a sort of derivation of 'big money?'

I've seen the pros refer to fish as 'pigs' on TV but a Pig Monkey -- is new... Important stuff here. I'm thinking as I'm driving West - I want to catch a pig monkey this weekend. For sure - first time I hoped for that

Why is there a skirt on bassin jigs? We have hairball jigs here we use for stripers on wire line - but the hair sort of collapses and it looks a little like a squid. The only thing I can think of is that the skirt looks like a weed the trailer is hiding partially under. I dont know.. to me a senko looks like a goose turd.
I love catching bass on this stuff though.

I hope to meet some of you guys some day - if you're ever in New England you have an invite to
fish for 'choppers' ' linesiders' and maybe even some 'fat alberts' ;)

Elderoz, I have no idea what a pig monkey is... No telling what Ozzie was thinking when he typed that... :-)

The rubber skirt gives the jig bulk and flares underwater when the jig stops moving. The water will "lay it back" when moving but it will flare when it comes to rest on the bottom.

Good luck on your quest for a "Pig Monkey" and make sure to let us know what it looks like when you get one... :-) I look forward to hearing the results of your trip.

BTW: I believe we met when Oz & Michele got married. It has been a while but I do remember meeting some of Ozzie's family.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

A pig monkey is a fat chick and they don't look good in skirts. Elder just go out to a bar get really drunk stay out real late and chances are good you'll bring home a bigun.

oh--- THATS a pig monkey. Good info. No more driving cross state hoping I catch one. I now understand completely.

And I suppose, now that I get it, that the skirt flaring and laying back means its a windy bar.

Woah-- - personally, i would pass on one of these no matter what bar, no matter how late, no matter what the skirt looks like or how windy it was
