I must have misread the standings. Turns out that Yank was 38th. Must have been a tough weekend for the co-anglers looking at the standings. http://bfl.flwoutdoors.com/tournament.cfm?cid=2&t=results&tid=6277&mc=0&coAngler=1 Thanking the Lord, all day long --- tomc

Yeah it was tough. Only caught one that weighed. Fished with Gilbert Herald from Pittsburgh, TX, he's the guy that helped me fizz the over at the bucket awhile back, pretty weird huh, real good guy. We started fishing rocky points throwin cranks and traps all we could catch was stripers like 20 or 30 of the bastards. They were up real shallow bustin shad on every point we hit so the bass were spooked scattered and hard to find. So, Gilbert decided to flip boat slips in the marinas and yankees don't flippin flip to good. He made some pretty amazing casts skippin a jig back 10 or 20 feet under walkways. gilbert ended up with four fish that he worked really hard to get. The cut was at 12 so didn't make it to fish the second day but moved up in the overall standings from 48 to 35 to qualify for the regional at Degray Lake, in Arkansas. Wonder if Sinky has any cousins up that neck in the woods. |
