I want ta fish---maybe Sunday.. I have to power washing the 'now' gray rock walls( mildew from heII) back to a bright white at the entrance to our subdivision.. Theyre gonna plant flowers and hang 2-big metal stars, Penson Springs on one big Star, and Lake Fork on the other Star... Beautify'n the Hood Saturday, and hanging 2-huge ceiling fans Kay bought.... My humble opinion is that Saturday will be better than Sunday. Unfortunately I will not be there to prove it. I have missed too many of my daughter's basketball games this year and I want to watch them play this weekend. Sunday, the church service is being put on by the youth of our congregation and my girls are part of that so again I want to be there. Ya'll have fun on the lake and catch a bunch. Just stay out of my favorite spots...   Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

The bite on Fork was better for us this weekend than last. Last week the water temps were 44-45, this week we saw 47-50. I would rate them as biting Saturday morning early. We only got two slots in the boat but had several others on. They were just slapping at the traps. The two we caught had the bait barely in the mouth with the other treble hooked in the side of the face. 3 bites last Saturday and 6-8 bites yesterday. There was no wind to speak of all day and wasn’t that fun driving the boats through the abyss? We were thankful for the GPS. Thanking the Lord, all day long --- tomc | ||||||||||||

Worked all day on projects Saturday, fished 7:30-11:00 Sunday morning. 1-bite 22-1/2 fat toad. X scaled at 7.2 lbs 6-foot in the grass but, the fish was pale, looked like it just pulled up. I stayed on West arm fishing some Birch, and Penson. The water up in Birch around Lynn and Briar was nasty but warm. The Hyacinth has completely covered Lynn's spawning area's, the stuff is in Briar too. It's not as bad---but still bad, this will push boats fishing those areas one on top of another.. It's bad, I was amazed.. NO bites in Birch but, I didn't get to fish everywhere I wanted to either. KBD Fishing | ||||||||||||

Still to cold for me.....the water that is. Went to Martin Creek on Saturday because of the rain that was supposed to be around Fork. Smoked em all day on drop shot, but nothing big. Hot water lakes are hard to beat on days like Saturday. I bet there was 60-70 trucks in the parking lot and its a little bigger than Monti. Fork on Sunday morning two bites and got one in. Mike will be on here Monday telling about the one that might have been an over that broke him off. I fished the JCO last January and this January and still have not figured out how to catch unders. Pisses me off so I might come out and play if I get hard up for something to do or just get ate up with a case of dumbarse. I sure hope not......... Zeet... The last time I fished against you in an individual tournament you finished 2nd I believe and I finished 6th -- Texas Trails Bassmasters Open on Fork in early May 3 years ago. Kewl... Big Red is staying in the driveway this weekend. I may go out with PQ for a few hours on Saturday just to get my dose of cold water fishing(depressing). I am jacked about the downloads I made yesterday for my Bird-SI unit. I got all the upgrades and the 3-D down scan. Very interested in seeing how that works/looks.
