At least it looks dry for Saturday at this point. That will be a change from the Dec and Jan JCO teams.

I have not been out in the past week but somehow I don’t think it’s warmed up any. I would guess were lookin’ at 45 to 48 if we’re lucky. Lol

What’s it gonna take to win barring any overs brought in? I am thinking about 10.50 for the win and 7.00 to get a check.
Thanking the Lord, all day long

The fish are fat right now I would bet higher 10's then that maybe 11......

It all depends on how the weather comes....I've tried to fish the nastiest days so far because I knew how the media would turn out. It always does in Febuary.

Good luck to all :-)

After fishing yesterday. You are all wrong.

Im going to make the call:

9 lbs. to win
4 to 5 lbs. to get a check.

Yes, it's that bad out there. Water temps have dropped and will continue to fall over the next several days.

I hope Im wrong, but it doesnt look good.

Honestly 6-7 lbs has been winning lately.. These guys are not slouches either, some of the better sticks on Fork are struggling to bring in a limit of late.

It's going to be interesting, and an outright battle for 5-keepers. Heck, even 5-slots are hard to come by.. Really

We'll see how it goes .........if it's tough for us it's tough for everyone. Like I've been saying anybody can catch em when the weather's nice.

I still think there will be some sacks weighed.....The fish I have seen have been lil footballs.

I don't know yet if we have company or not.. Rmax may stay Friday night.. Funny you say that Zach. If you guyz struggle everyone else will, what the HeII you think everyone has been doing LOL...

I remember a time where the entire field of boats failed to catch a limit except for one boat.
The only limit I believe for the complete Media Feb, opening event, 80+ ZERO's. With money on the line, these guys get MEAN..

Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Yes sir I remember that one....We got a pretty high check and only had three keepers.

Running all the way back down the lake spearing waves with both bilge pumps rolling. Pretty scary especially around Wolf. Finally had to take it off pad and bury the back end and plow forward with the front way up in the air.

Yep,Orange. Coast guard friends on the lower Niagara turned the local fishermen onto these suits. Warmest lightest cold gear made. Its a lightweight floatation suit and its orange so the CG can find ya if ya fall in. Left mine home for my son but just got a like new one on ebay after I decided to move back home.

Kay and I got out yesterday(Sat)around noon, found water temps---depending on which unit you believe ?? Friday was the best day of the two.

Lowrance had 41-43, Bird 39-41. Nasty and very cold.. Fished 2-hrs on prime spots without a bite one, we liked to froze to death any how.

Back at the ramp by 2:00 and happy about it, fishing was gawd awful and I don't see it changing in the next couple weeks. More bad stuff on the way---- we need a break from all this gloomy weather.

????????????? whatever Yank

I can't belzieve they canceled the tournament. That goes to show you what a bunch of non fisherman tournament directors will do from their couch in Dallas. What a joke. We not only launched fine friday (the worst day) but Saturday with no problems what so ever in Sunny skies with no water even on the roads around the lake. It's just a disgrace to Media. Funny how JC launched and had a heck of a tournament at Tyler.......?

Quit basing your reaction off what you read on the news and what you hear sitting in a house over a 100 miles away from the tourney site, or because another tourney cancels, you fold up like a cheap tent. What about the people that have sacrifised both time and money getting ready for a tournament that's going to be in Feb, now gets thrown back to July on a totally different pattern and wather. As you can tell I'm PI$$ed about Gordans decision and feel like it could have cost me a pretty good payday.

Yeah some people are gonna be happy they canceled......thats fine just next time go fish on the bad wather days and be ready for any kind of weather that gets thrown at you. If you dont like it maybe an outdoor sport isn't for you or just dont enter! Dont tell your fisherman you canceled for incliment weather when they are on the lake fishing.

We sure can take off in 30 mph winds which I think is a heck of a lot riskier than 2 days after some snow.

JOKES!

The second time that I went out and brushed off 6 inches of snow off the truck and boat cover, I kind of figured they were going to cancel. Schools closed Friday, 250,000 folks without electricity (including us for 16 hours) all pointed to Zach and Sink being the only ones on Lake Fork. You guys are some diehards, that’s for sure. Oz stopped by here on his way out to the lake Friday afternoon. We were ready to fish until the cancellation. I have to admit that the cancellation did not hurt my feelings any though it was nicer Saturday than the Dec. and Jan. JCO Team events.
Looking forward to sweating it out in July.

I thought it was awesome that Mark had 18 in Tyler. I bet he would have had 40+ on a day that did not follow a 30 year snow.

All I can say is I was dissappointed. It was my last chance to fish a tourney on fork. Obviously the snow and cold wasn't a concern. Give you guys just a little taste of real winter conditions. Was planning on fishing friday but when I saw the road conditions was worried about some brake happy ice spinner taking me out on the way to the lake, so went to work. Don and I still were looking forward to fishing Saturday goin in cold. When the sun was shining all day Saturday I got pissed. I'm with Zeet don't cancel the tourney and if the fags don't want to fish cause its cold let em stay homo.

I had already canceled in my mind and was not going to attend. Fishing in those conditions (lake and weather) has ceased to be fun and there is no point in me wasting money if I am not at least having fun.

I think I burned myself out fishing these winter tournaments -- shoulda spent more time in the deer stand like Zeet in Sinkey.
