When we go to by minnows for fishing for crappie they always have minnows for bass fishing. I couldn't imagine fishing for bass with minnows. For black bass and small mouth it is all artificial. For Crappie, and stripers it is a good mix of either. I don't know why but I have never fished for black bass with live bait. Just wondering how you fish for black bass with live bait.

The times that I have seen people bass fishing with minnows is under a cork. But I think that they are more opportunistic fishing and will take whatever will hit the minnow -- catfish, bass, etc...

I like to use artificial for everything that I can. Even for crappie and sand bass I may start with minnows but I always end with jigs.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
