Let me know if you guys think this note needs anything added.

Dear Texas Parks and Wildlife,

I know you figure a certain amout of 'resource used' per out of state angler- thats a factor in how you fix your license prices etc.

I'd like to ask for a partial refund of my 64 dollar, four day fishing license. I used very little state of Tx resources. I left not a single mark on a single bass. I did catch a bullhead - for that i'll offer to pay about 5 cents.

Using my reasoning I am at 63 dollars and 95 cents "unused lic fee" at that point

I did leave several lures in your lakes and I went swimming in Lake Fork once with all the dying shad..(however that swim was involuntary)

I'll offer another 10 dollars for that "usage"

One particularly cantankerous old fellow said I suck at fishing... He is clearly accurate. But should I have to pay full price to suck? I thought I was paying to catch fish, not dig around docks for lost flashlights, freeze my man boobs, dodge stupid Tx birds that cannot see a boat coming till the last second, and soak my cell phone while doing an impromptu underwater lake survey.

I have fished all over the place- and I realize the reels I was using were all upside down and backwards - BUT This is the first refund I have requested.

Make the check out to:

and Sincerely:

James "BOZO-NO-FISH" Osborn

LMAO............. Sorry I couldn't make it down there to share in the experience...

I thought Texas has a 5 day non-res license for like $15.... I've gotta check for that now... haha... :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Yeah- I have bought out of state licenses in a bunch of states- I think Alaska was more, but thats it.

I think they saw me coming. & Hit me for the whole enchalada$

Maybe it was when I picked up a mini flashlight -near the counter and asked the lady, "Wheres the treble"?

My guide (AKA lifeguard) was working on the cheap. Basically trying to catch a fish himself.

I want to say it cost me two gallons of oil for room, board and guide services.

You know it was a tough fishin trip when the most exciting Bassin was done from the couch while watching other dudes catch fish at the Classic.

I'm over it.. back to Ice fishing- Its warmer than running in the boat, no birds to dodge and the fish are way more active ;)

Couple of years ago a guy was killed by a coot while driving a jet ski (sea doo, whatever). I remember hearing about it on the AP.

Elder, sometimes riding with Oz is an adventure in itself... Sounds like a good time was had no matter how terrible the fishing was.

They will charge you more for next years fishing license if you tell them about all this fun that was had. It is not about the fishing but the adventure. :-)
