Thanks Tommy - Wierd day for us, 1 fish at 1:10 PM, made a move to Mustang on the windy side and found a grass line with the right size fish in it. We only boated 9 fish all day. We had 2 overs, one so close it kept me awake last night thinking we could have snatched 20k..... My new prefishing tactic will be Lake Falcon for a week before Bass Champs, it worked this time. Billy - I wanted to introduce myself to you and Kay but was tied up when you picked up your check.... May be next time! | ||||||||||||

Thanks Tom, it was crazy. Chuck and I are having a blast.... I couldn't ask for a better partner.I've been wanting to tournament fish like this for 30 years and have been blessed in life to finally be able to do this. between support at home [THANKS BARB!!] and competing with some of the best anglers out there, I feel very fortunate.... congrats to all the FTN regulars on here that got a check. Wow, all I can say is Great Job guys. The group here that fishes Fork and Falcon .. LOL (Dennis) Really Kicked some serious AZZ.. I agree Mark, it is a super group of anglers. Dennis ---- I wanted to come over and congratulate you for an amazing tournament. We got busy visiting with everyone, and time slipped away. Mark and Chuck.. Consistency is the Key to cashing in these events week in and week out. You guys are on the right track. Outstanding !!! Todd and Jim, you guys really know how to bounce back with a vengeance.. Ouch.. Y'all put a hurt'n on the majority of the field.. Well done. Sink and Zeet, are in the 10-lb club every event so far, as many of you know that's not an easy thing to do. Congrats on a great job, your both getting it done. Looks to be a good team in the making !!!! It's a kewl deal seeing your friends and compadre's do so well in a large event as this one was. We really enjoyed it, didn't decide to fish until Friday. Kay was sick bad Wednesday, with some good Med's and her desire to compete we pulled it out for a small piece of the pie. I heard stories like what Dennis had, Only (LOL) catching 9-fish.. Well brother they were dang sure the right 9.. Kay and I prolly caught 30+ fish and culled for mere ounces a dozen times.. Congrats to all who cashed. My friend Darlene and I attempted to fish it and were on some nice slot fish early with one 15.5" in the livewell. That is where the day took a turn for the worse. My trolling motor took a complete dump on us and where we were fishing drifting was completely out of the question. So we had to put the boat on the trailer at 10:30 and call it a day. I was so bummed I didn't even take the one fish to weigh-in. I know - shoulda woulda coulda - we could have put together a decent sack if not hampered by the mechanical issue. Thanks to Tom for a little advice we caught some fish. This was Darlene's first ever tournament so she was pretty disappointed but understands it happens that way sometimes. That tournament fishing right there...It happened to me the first JCO event. I had my livewells check and loaded the boat on the trailer and headed to the trolling motor shop...started fishing at 11:30. I did get one fish so that was good. Is the trolling motor fixed now? Yes Sir Oz - went back to Fork yesterday and was at trollingmotorparts.com at 8 and on the water by 10. It was tough yesterday out there with the cold front coming through. We saw a few males cruising around and caught 3 fish in about 4 hours. Then I recieved a call from my boss and he needed me in Waskom, Tx today so I loaded up and went to Corsicana got a couple of hours of sleep and left for Waskom at 4am this morning. By the way, I am scheduled to go to Newark, NJ to start a new project next week. It looks like I will be there for the remainder of 2010 at least, so my Fork days are done for a while. I may fly back for the Skeeter in June, but other than that it looks like I am out for a while.
