Do you practice it and if so on what species do you do it on?

Personally, I practice catch and release on Bass all of the time. If I have plenty of fish in the freezer, I also practice catch and release on sand bass & stripers. If I can get at least 5 crappie in the box, I keep them. Same goes for catfish. When the freezer is running low or empty, I keep catfish, crappie, sandies, and stripers. Everything else I throw back.

Personally, I prefer to throw them all back. But, I sure do like eating fresh fish. It drives my wife nutts, but to me it is more about catching them than number that I keep. I don't hold it against anyone who wants to keep every legal fish they catch as long as they do not go to waste. I just hate cleaning fish.

Good question "P"...

I release every bass I catch no matter what the size. If I am out fishing for crappie or catfish I am fishing for the meat so I keep everything that is legal. I only fish for stipers and sandies once or twice a year. So it just kind of depends on my mood on what I do with them.

If we get into stripers or sandies, we will keep them if it's worth the trouble to clean. If they aren't really biting, we turn them all back. I don't eat fish, but everybody else in the family does, so I love to help contribute to the feeding of my family!

I nearly always practive Catch and Release, we have a ranch with 2 big rivers going through it, and thats my main fishing locations. So I dont wanna fish it all out, we have kept 3 bass, 1 crappie, 2 yellowcats and quite a few perch in the 8 years that we have owned it. But I enjoy just catching them, I'm with Picou, I'm not crazy about cleaning fish.

I like that cleaning setup.. nice mess of fillets also. I remember the good ole' days (last year and previous years) when I always had fish in the freezer. We would either have fried fish, BBQ fish, or baked fish every week. I have not done anything other than 4 bass trips this year and my freezer is void of fish. It has been months since I have fried fish at home. I am a sorry excuse for a fisherman...

I will C&R most of the time in fresh water, will keep Crappie, the occasional catfish or white bass. Will keep Flounder, specs and some reds when in Saltwater, to a point. Like to keep fish in the freezer so I can have it every couple of weeks.
Love to fish and hunt.

I throw 99.9% of my bass back, but do keep some when friends want one or two. Also, if and when I ever catch a big un he is going straight to the taxidermist, just don't like replicas even if they do look real.
