The last event in the series is this Sunday on Fork. I will be there hoping to redeem myself after the last 2 I fished. Jessica is coming out also to fish as a Jr angler so hopefully she will get her second Jr plaque... Anyone else fishing it?  Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Dude, it should be GOOD !!! I had some really good signs of the summer bite that lays just head.. This year, spots that were dead, the last two years have turned on BIG TIME.. Those spots were directly related to the success of the DEEP BITE.. The way things are setting up, it could be a banner year out in the 20+ foot zone. I honestly believe it's linked to the really cold winter and the HUGE shad kill that occurred. I'm actually thinking about starting off tomorrow with a topwater or spinner bait depending on the wind and cloud cover. I'm jacked, we had a blast last Saturday, caught a lot of fish. ATTA BOY congrats on the new addition, watch out for Zeeter around her though. Spring Turkey opens May 1st, but can only hunt till noon. Doin what we call the spring triple header this weekend.
