Made it out to lake Austin yesterday to see if the boat would still run and do a little fishing. Found a creek loaded with spawning fish. Ended up catching about 15 total with an 8lb kicker fish.

Nice toad Wes... Glad you made it out and hammered some fish. I bet that was nice to be on the lake on a work day without all the pressure.

I hope you get on the lake a few more times before the Skeeter this year... :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

thanks guys. it was good to get out again, I don't think I have fished since the skeeter tournament last year. If the weather holds I might try and sneak out one afternoon next week and hit that creek again. There are some big fish in there and according to one of the locals they have been in that creek for about a month and are just starting to pull up.

That sounds good, you definitely need to get out there ASAP..

Apparently you didn't waste anytime getting back in the swing of fishing with a day like that..

PQ should have no fears about your ability to put fish in the boat for the Skeeter, if he can put you on them.. LOL

Austin is on fire right now. Saw a post today guy had 3 over 8lbs on fish on beds on the main lake. Looks like I need to sneak out again one day next week.

Billy pq couldn't find a fish if it was in his own bath tub.....

Good luck to you guys fishing this weekend. Be careful with the wind.
