Friday was a mixed bag of slots and unders. I just could not catch any unders over 15 1/4. Had to beem them to determine the biggest 2 lber and it went 2.17. That was the best I could do all weekend for an under. As usual, several nice ones just on the line or over.

Had my best first hour morning bite in a long time Saturday bagging ~ 8 slots to 22” with 7-8 unders along with the slots during the frenzy. Fish were chasing 3 inch shad in 1 foot of water. It was the nuts.

Sunday went for the gusto and caught another 8 slots and a few dinkers. 3 slots in the 5-7 range but nothing that was over 22” again. Good healthy fish though.

It was nice to just go out and fish without the pressure of the team competition thing. Great weekend for sure
Thanking the Lord, all day long

It was good to see you out there Tommy, After we left that area the fog moved in (thick) for about 2-hrs. I was a lil nervous out on that point with some boats running the lanes.

Kay actually caught a fish on a Jig out deep !!!!
I was happy for her, she's been trying on and off for a long time.

Luckily we were on so many fish at the time a bare hook would have caught one. She changed back to soft plastics after my 10-th fish in as many cast.
We were truly blessed for the 3-days of the event, only got rained on one time for about 2-minutes.
If one had listened to the weather man, you might not have fished at all with forecast being what it was.
It was a lot of fun, and we caught a lot of fish.
If it had been a 5-fish stringer tournament we would have had upper 10's on 2-days and 11+ on one day.
Looking forward to June Media.

Good to see you all as well. That was weird once again gliding through the abyss. Looking forward to the June tourney also. Hopefully we can all find some fish stuffing their gullet.

Grant you crack me up.... You think I just catch 2-lber's. Let me pick one day of the 3 we fished(they were all 3-similar in numbers). We had 8-10 fish over 5-lbs EASY, 4-in the 6-lb range and no less than 2-pushing 8-lbs .. LOL Do the math on that best 5 = 35+lbs Out deep was the deal for us, they were bunched up real good..
I love it when they do that, it's a catch fest. LOL..

Grant always rags on me about the dink'er we have to bring in at tournaments on Fork, cause the slot is so restrictive. It's been an ongoing think for a few years now. LOL....

Me too, when the TTBC was at Fork, I was surprised at what the pros were bringing in as a whole.
Kay and I were on the water fishing the same time they were, we would have kicked 80-% of their butts.
Home lake advantage is a plus. It was for KJ and Vick no doubt.

Thanks Grant... Coffee all over the keyboard..... LMAO..........

Fork has taught me a ton about tournament fishing and targetting fish. Fork has a great population of fish but it is also one of those lakes that is tuff to fish because of the pressure. I have not mastered the offshore bite yet but once I do....... :-)

I hate fishing shallow, mostly because everyone can do it for the biggest part, in early spring we have to. Out deep the fish don't receive near the pressure those dumb lil pickles get on the banks.
Ain't that right Zeet. Stinky is gonna be his mentor this summer, and Zeeter will become "THE" Net Boy. Ha ha ha ha !!!

ppppppsssshhhhhhhhh......hahahahaha

Yeah just ask ol Sink what happened to him when we fished out there deep last year, Let's jsut say I looked back one time and he had a yellow pad of paper with a pen sitting in the passenger seat taking notes.....

I had to tell him to get up and fish that I would go over school with him later that night!

Anybody can catch em deep..... I mean when else will 50-60 bass stack up on a peice of structure the size of yankee's peter?

Maybe one day I will be as good as you guys and learn how to catch fish on that lake. I like the lake just can't catch fish on it.

Biggest problem with the offshore stuff on Fork is that there are limited "GOOD" spots and enough people know of them that they always have a crowd. I hate fishing in a crowd.
