Found out tonight that my nephew, Dean's son Matthew, may have taken his own life this evening. I do not want to get into any debates about suicide and the implications there of. This is a prayer request. Matthew's death is being investigated and there has not been an official determinatioin by the police that it was a suicide. What I was told is that my nephew's girlfriend of yrs broke up with him and he jumped off a parking garage. I do not know if there were any witnesses. Matthew was a 2nd year college student with all A's & B's, lots of good friends, etc... Nobody saw this coming. There were no warning signs, no note, nothing. I ask that you please send a prayer up for my brother Dean, his daughter Rebekah, his X-wife Susy, and our mother. Pray for their strenght, comfort, and any other things you want to add. Also, I have forgiven Matthew for choosing to take his own life (if that is truly the case) and I am praying for his soul. I pray that God takes him into his Kingdom and that one day I will see Matthew again in Heaven. FWIW, I am fine and my girls (including my wife) are ok. We have talked about it and prayed together. We will continue to discuss this as they need to and we will continue to pray together. Do me one more favor, give your kids and spouses an extra hug and tell them you love them.  Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

thanks guys... There is still no statement from the police but based on the discussions here it was suicide. Funetal arrangements are being made today, but i do not know the day yet. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Prayers for the entire family. Mike I know you will be strong for the entire family. Suicide if that is the case leaves way too many unanswered questions for loved ones.
