Took a good friend out Saturday morning for 6+ hrs.
Caught 60+ fish easily, problem was they were all dinks... Dinks up shallow & Dinks out deep..
Didn't matter where you went, our best fish was 1.13oz.. Ya can't do much damage with fish like that..

I, contrary to most people hate to fish a full moon in the day time.. I've never had great success fishing the day after a full moon has lit the dark sky all night.
I did get Larry on 1-Big Fish around 10:30 in 27 foot of water, it absolutely Owned him for about 30-seconds till the line broke at the hook..

That's the second time I've got him a bigg'n and missed getting her in the net both times, I hope his luck changes for his sake. He was pretty tore up both times.

These little fish are costing me a small fortune in baits, they hit it hard and you think you got a good'un till about the 4th-crank on the reel and then you know it's a dad-gum dink --- Again.

Anyhow, any time on the water better than none at all. I enjoyed fishing with Larry, we had a good time till the heat and frustration ran us off the lake to cooler temps..

Good to see Oz out too.. I believe he was experiencing the same results as us..

I fished Saturday evening and night at a tourney on Lake o The Pines. Finished 7th with My partner catching BIG Bass.

We went Bakc out after the 11 oclock weigh in and he had an absolute giant run straight at the boat jump at the boat hit her head in the process on the boat and spit the jig. Fish looked to be way bigger than a DD

Boy... how many dinks are in Fork this year. I posted earlier in the year about all the fricking 12 inch fish in that dang lake. Spawn must be going crazy the last couple of years.

Where did all the 12-13 inch fish go that we were catching last year at this time.

I feel your pain Big Bill.

Steve and I fished Saturday and Sunday morning looking for some keeper bass. Hit one spot that had some good unders Sat. AM. Fished Sat. evening and hit a spot that had some dandy unders. Went to new water Sunday AM and it was the dinkfest all over again.
Hope they straighten up by the 7th of August.
