I bet my brother is the only guy on this board that dropped a Musky last week
"them Yankee baits are too small" is what he will tell you -

Richard is however the catfish king - he got three
1st one was on a tube
2nd one was on this spinner
3rd one was on a mr.twister

Yup catfish.
many people chase the conventional Susquehanna target species - bass and walleye. -- while he goes for the advanced catfish-on-lures presentation

Elder don't let these mudholers fool ya, I pulled the tournament winner on Fork off bell hump on a spinnerbait couldn't get em outta the grass then I seen dem whiskers....15 pound catfish. You use them little spinners fer musky? On the uppper Niagara its all 10 inch monster tubes, big double colorado bucktail inline spinners, and prop baits that look like a 747. Good deal the bros fishin together when Ozzie was up in Wonderland.

The musky was a surprise - He had little chance to land it.

We were "bonding"

Back up to Lake Umbagog tomorrow for a few days -last year I got PB (North East) Lg Mouth and Small Mouth basses on this trip- My fingers are crossed!

With the remnants of the hurricane around it'll be interesting. Water is also VERY hot for these far North lakes - Mid 70's surface temp - its got the bassin screwey according to reports.

Hope we are not blown onto the rocks of this bassy little puddle!

Got this one a few nights ago on an eel- It broke my cheap 30 lb scale. Probably high 30's ~ 'Strippers' up here are starting to feed before the fall migration- But the ocean is going to be all weeded up soon from the 12 footers they expect in my gulf of Maine fishing hole.

Dont tease em' too much on dove shooting Yank -

Hey, do yall use real shotguns for those ? ;)

Live Baiter..........an eel.

A little school girl cam catch em on live bait Oz2, come on now.

We use the same kind of shot-guns yall do to shoot grousee, partridge, and small little bunnies.

Yeah- eel, I know.. we use live and chunk bait on these, Bluefish, Tuna, and others... Off shore, for Cod, Haddock, and sharks its more chunks of some dead sea creature or slabs of clam .. no negative stigma attached- not that I know of.

Until you run into the Orvis crowd.. They say they'd rather a cat wizz in their Merlot than catch a fish on anything without a tippet

I guess I bought it by saying 'real shotgun' ;)

That Yankee is in some decent Pheasant lands - If you can hit a dove you can surely hit a pheasant.

Hey - How'd I get to be Oz-2? Being older should be good for something!

Best smallie for us up North was 3.5 - usually we get a few near 5 lbs. They sure are spirited suckers.... quarrelsome fish! Water was too warm for up there - low 70's.
