J C O Spring Teams Championship Info Host Marina Ray Roberts Marina www.rayrobertsmarina.com • Located off FM 455 about 3 miles east of Sanger • Multi-lane concrete ramp with boarding pier and parking for up to 75 vehicles • Operated by private concession (940) 458-7343 First of all on behalf of myself, Diane and Jason Tidwell let me first say thank you for participating in the 2010 Spring Season Events. Once again I owe all of you a huge apology for the handling of the website and the lack of timely updates towards the end of the series. Those issues are being resolved as I have hired a new web developer, a full time professional web developer and host to handle the building of the new site and its maintenance and updates. The new site should be up and running by the first of September. Perhaps this will be the year that this achilles heel will be resolved for us. Our fall teams events kick off this weekend on Lake Texoma August 22, 2010 followed by our Lake Fork Individual Series on September 12, 2010 and then our Lake Fork Fall Teams opener on October 9, 2010. We hope to see you all at this championship and many of the other fall events throughout the season. Other Special Events Coming Up Soon: Fishing 4 Hearts $5000 guaranteed first place team event @ Lake Fork out of the Minnow Bucket September 4, 2010 and the following weekend Lake Fork Baptist Church Open Team Event @ Lake Fork September 11, 2010 The J C Outdoors 2010 Spring Teams Championship is coming to Lake Ray Roberts this year. It will be a one day event with a start time of 7:00 AM and a first flight weigh in of 3:00 PM. The starting order for this one day event will be in accordance with when registration received. You may register by mail if postmarked by Monday September 20, 2010 or by credit card by printing out a credit card form from the www.jcoutdoors.com website and faxing to 214-434-1054 along with the entry form, there is a 5% convenience fee charged for credit/debit card orders. Onsite registration will be at Ray Roberts Marina Friday evening September 24, 2010 beginning at 6:00pm until 8:00pm at our travel trailer that will be located near the public restrooms directly across from the main boat slips. Registration on Saturday morning the 25th of September will take place beginning at 5:00am on the dock connected to the front of the floating marina store, this is also where live well checks and the tournament start will take place so whatever ramp you use please navigate to the marina store on the water after launching. I will inform you of the exact weigh in location on the Ray Roberts Marina grounds at the morning meeting on the water just prior to the start of the tournament at 7:00am. Tournament off limits for pre fishing will begin on Sunday September 19, 2010 at sundown until official start time of the event on Saturday morning September 25, 2010. Same as last year, during the off limits period we do not want you receiving relative info about the fishing from other non contestants during the off limits period. You may discuss strategy and information during that off limits period with your respective partner only during the off limits. If someone tries to offer you advice please shut them down ASAP to avoid being ineligible to compete due to receiving info. I know this seems picky but I want an open honest event where everyone has an equal chance to compete, public info from forums and such we cannot control but that becomes public knowledge. This event will have a $200 entry fee with a $20 BB option paying back 2 places 70% and 30%. Payback will be 1 in 5 with 100% payback less polygraph and plaques. There will also be a catered barbecue dinner for all contestants immediately following the weigh in for a cost of $10 per contestant. Your guest or any family members that may join you may also dine for $10 each. Please for as many as can please submit your money for the dinner along with entry so our caterer can accurately supply enough food. This year we paid out 90% at the ramp on all of our spring team’s qualifiers and did not hold out any money for the championship purse as we have in the past. What I will be giving away to the First Place champions of this season’s championship event in addition to their share of the purse is a Strut and Rut package hunt for the 2011 Kansas Spring Turkey and Fall Deer Season. In the spring the lucky team will join me for 3 days of some of the best turkey hunting Kansas has to offer. In the fall the lucky team will join me for 5 days of fall Kansas deer hunting, their choice of archery, black powder or regular firearms season. Each team member will be responsible for purchasing their own license and tags for the 2011 spring turkey and fall deer season. Our Second Place team in addition to earning their share of the purse will receive the Strut package that will include 3 days of awesome Kansas turkey hunting as well. We'll be there. I plan on sending in our entry next week. Not sure if we will make any of the fall tournaments. Between my boat getting worked on and conflicting dates with deer hunts I couldn't fish them all so we may hit a couple when it cools off. My bass club webpage http://texbass.8m.com/
