Steve and I will show for this one. After that I will be out for a couple of weeks. Gonna bite the bullet on the 9th and get the surgery done on my wrist. I like the opportunity to fish against them in an event like this, winning is the plan but helping a good cause is also rewarding. When Michael and that Lady(can't remember her name) spoke at the BassChumps event about how sudden and tragically their 16 yro. Children died. It bothered me, I felt we should try and help, so--win or lose we will have done something for the cause, that's our feelings for this tournament. It's a win/win situation. Couldn't have said it better. Most of you know my old man is a high-school football coach and athletic director. The kid that passed away and the foundation Living for Zachary is because he died playing highschool football here in Plano. They are a great foundation and most of their money goes to putting defibs in schools and locker rooms, also putting awareness out there for young people to get checked for congestive heart failure. Couldn't imagine losing a child doing what they loved to do. I played in a golf tourney and it was a class act for this same foundation. Really run well and put together. Outstanding Zach.. I had no idea you were as close to this situation as that. It was Zachary's mother that spoke last weekend I believe. Not for sure on that, but I think so.. Whatever the case, her life was affected by the disorder more than we will ever know.. KBD Fishing | ||

Yea really good cause and a little close to home here as well............Ole RV and Tony Clark and Perry all went bird huntin' today up on public land north of here........all limited out pretty quick.....Tony was bitchin about no corn stalks this year. Had the game warden fetchin birds for em hehehehehe. Seems a lot of guides want to try their hand Sat. I know a few that are really on the 2 pounders...........Fun will be had by all for sure. Chuck and I are sposed' to fish as well. | ||

Hey Pickle where is the public land north of there. Have a couple of farms around the lake to fish but if the birds aren't there may roll on. Yeah, he was a football player at Plano East and during practice collasped. Died at the hospital when they couldn't get his heart going. Guys just a reminder this is an open event, no membership required with J C Outdoors. We are very honored to be the weigh masters of this event. If you are having trouble making up your mind on this one just look at the weather, the fishing will be awesome as this water continues to cool down. If you are a parent or grandparent you need to be there to gain this information that will be shared by these families about early detection of juvenile heart defects. We currently have 23 boats pre registered and we are expecting a good turnout for this one. You must stop at the restaurant to pick up your poker chip that has your boat number and afternoon check in time on it either Friday evening or Saturday morning. You may launch at any ramp but must come to The Minnow Bucket Marina for livewell check and numbered start from The Minnow Bucket Marina. This is not a trailering event. See you guys there. What station is zat Oz.. KLIF or WBAP ?? LOL. You can smell it, when it happens, I know my boat was covered in brown slim.. I thought WTF is that @$%# on my boat.. This weather and cool rain MAY start something in that direction.. Additionally it won't happen all at once or everywhere. It'll be spotty for a while, one area then another area..
