It was fun, we fish next to Clint Wright most of the morning hours till 9-ish then moved out deep.
Found lots of fatties and slots in 18-23 foot.
That was a great event, tons of people at sign-up and weigh-in.. It was a little to drawn out for me, we both were wore out and ready to get home. Big events like that one will take a while to finish up..

Congrats to Zeet and Lil-E good job guys !!!!
and to all the other FTN'er that fished.
Lots of fish on the chew, we caught'um in 2-foot and 20+ so they're a little spread out but bite'n.. That's good, Oz you missed a fun time bud ...

Yeah it really screwed us for the rest of the afternoon now that I look back and were beat, but if we would have won it would have been the right thing to do. We totally changed our game and went after a ton of keepers vs. the best keepers. You know what I mean. Pretty stoked when we put her on the board and she measured.

Very good event for a good cause, probably the most activity around a tourney I've seen besides Mc D's, Berkley, and Skeeter..... and JC's (mark and diane) run a very very good tourney with no set backs or hick ups from over 90 something teams. Kuddo's to you guys.

Congrats to all who fished....Billy and Kay, 9.90 something.....Wow way stouter than catching a big fish in my opinion boss.

Hey you boys get Clint's GPS coords. from fattherhagerly. Man you boys are bad jumpin old guides holes and pumpin old guide's sons for information. When I move back there I'm just gonna be proud, paint my nose brown, and have my knee pads handy at all times.

Yank.. When are you moving back.... we need the comic relief... Ha Ha Ha !!! DJ needs a partner for that new rig..

Zeet you guys pulled a fat girl when you needed it, and that's what it's all about my friend.. Great job on stick'n a big girl Dude.. Well done indeed.
It was fun to know you were going up against some guys that know their way around the lake.

When Kay told me we had 990 I said that's OK, she said not really there have been 3-overs weighed in !!! OK --then lets just go home.. LOL...
I reckon it was a good thing we stayed.
Yank, Clint and I have been fish some of the same area's for a long time, I didn't even know who he was for a year or two and saw him in my spots ... LOL..
He'll fish for bigg'uns and i"m looking for the prefect green pickles, so no harm, no foul. We don't get in each others way at all.

Diane and I were very honored to have J C Outdoors chosen as the host tournament organization for this awesome event. If you missed this one I encourage you to mark the next one down and be ready for next year's 2nd Annual Fishing 4 Hearts Open Tournament to be held on Saturday September 3, 2011.

With a full year to prepare next year's event will blow you away.

The Zmolik Families and friends with Chynnas Helping Heart and the Schrah Families and friends with Living 4 Zachary were very honored by your support. No doubt the Lord was shining his face upon us with such a beautiful day on the water to enjoy, I know in my heart that both Chynna and Zachary were honored by the support as well.

There are so many that I need to thank for helping this event become successful on its first run. Of course the parents of both children Michael and Penney Zmolik, Dina and Kevin Moon, Troy and Karen Schrah.
Chris Taylor I apologize for not calling you and Greg LeBlanc up on stage to honor your hard work in pulling this event off, all involved owe you both a deep debt of gratitude.

My brother David and Brenda Haas with Media Bass for their help with weigh in. The young men who shared in Zachary's life who helped with livewell checks and boat checks as well as shuttling fish to the Lake Fork Sportsman's Association Live Release Boat. The ladies that crewed the boat thank you very much for your help in returning all but 12 of the 351 bass weighed in back to the waters we all love.
Thank You Minnow Bucket Marina and its crew for all of your support and providing a great venue for this event.
All the volunteers, photographers, video crew, and musicians for making this a smooth and well documented event.

The door prizes were off the chart for this event and I know that it is a lot of hard work for all involved with obtaining them. Thanks to all of the vendors for providing them. I will try to get a full list and post them.

Thank you to both of the charities for blessing both Diane and I with the wonderful gifts, was not expected but very appreciated.

Thanks to all of the anglers involved in this event, all were honored by your support. I pray you all left with an understanding of the cry of these parents who lost such beautiful children in such a tragic way.

Congrats to all competitors and winners of this event. Five ounces seperated the top two teams in this event. Congrats to James Niggemeyer and Keith Gunsauls for teaming up for the win, Keith picked a good time to snatch him a 7.81 over bass to bring their winning weight to 15.18 edging out Zach Hughes and Eric Wright 14.88 stringer that was anchored by the BB of the tournament at 8.01 pounds. Billy and Kay Dyson rounded out the top three position with 9.90 pounds.
There was one other over weighed in at 7.20 pounds but at the end of the day Gerald Boudreaux and Kelvin Russell could only add an additional .94 pound bass bringing their total to 8.14 pounds. The tragedy was that while pulling the over 24" bass out of the livewell they had a 2 pound plus bass launch himself from the boat and back into the waters while the livewell lid was open.
One of the hits of this event was the Jr. Angler Bonus payout of $500.00 additional dollars to the highest placing team to compete with a Jr. Angler 17 or younger. This honor would be bestowed on David and Tori Gillham weighing in 9.21 for 5th place and highest placing Jr. Angler team.

Next Sunday September 12th will be the opener of our Lake Fork Individual Trail which will run for 8 consecutive months with a May Championship on Lake Fork. Our individual events have a Jr. Angler division where youth 16 years and younger can compete against other youth in a one fish weigh in for gift cards from area marinas, tackle dealers and merchants. Junior Anglers have no entry fee or membership fees and compete from the back of the boat. More info at www.jcoutdoors.com Our new website should launch sometime later this week, we cannot wait.
Lake Fork guides will be allowed to compete in the Individual Series tournaments this 2010-2011 season.

Thanks Again
