I cashed three checks out of my boat last year and barely broke even after hotel stays, gas, eats. I thin I will sit at the house.

I will decide the week of the Berkley. I like to fish when convenient in the fall.

Not me, headed back to the woods for some alone time with nature. Had this hunt planned for months, grilling steaks with a couple of good friends and a campfire. Got a good buck I have been watching on game cams, might have to share an arrow with him. You guys have a good Berkley event and come join us October 30 for our fall teams series #2. Good to see you cash today Pickle.

Dinks and slots..

After some serious looking around.. I found that not all coves are equal..

The ones with obvious results required big pods of shad; we found them in 2 of the 15-18
places we searched.

I’d like to have more spots, but I’ll take it. I did notice a lot of pressure on the fish down south, we’re trying to avoid crowds for the most part and look for some aloneness. Probably won’t happen, but we had it this past weekend. A lot more boats on the water this coming weekend fur-sur..
We did observe wolf packs of 5-7 lb fish in 1-2 foot of water chasing the shad pods at high noon.
It's been awhile since I've seen that, needless to say it was encouraging none the less.
Our biggest hurdle will be in figuring out which P.O.S. Berkley bait they'll hit.

Our stock pile of baits from past events is much larger than I remembered, so maybe we can weed out the bad and use the good.

Anyone else plan on fishing it ???

Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

After winnin my entry fee last weekend I may try my luck,,,,was on a pattern that produced 11 slot fish....the biggest being almost 23 inch's.....had 2 fish in my sak that went over 2.40 pounds....the bigger of the 2 that won big fish was just under 15 inches.......wooooooo....the sad part of my day sunday was I lost 3 fish the same size as these floating beside the boat that would have put me at over 12 pounds at weigh in.........wow.....Had I had a partner in the boat with me we would not have lost those fish....but me being physically challenged right now hurt me dearly...but determination and hard work did pay off in the end... and yes Billy those fish are there...............

And by the way....Hollywood did not seem happy that I called him Hollywood before the tourney....hehehehahahahahaahaaaaaaa...too funny.

Great effort and good job on locating those fish Pickle.. You did good considering you have a handicap sticker on the windshield.. If you can repeat that pattern this weekend in the rain you'll be a force to reckon with I betcha...
