Looks like we're planning a trip to Lake Falcon for Feb. Not sure exactly when in Feb, but somewhere in that month. Never been, already excited about it.
The plan is, to go as a group. Maybe 5-10 boats
convoy down and use a guide for a day or two and fish 4-days total if my body and equipment hold up.
Safety in numbers and (slim) my 9mm with lots of extra clips. Prolly fish on the TX side mostly, but you never know.
If anyones is intrested contact me as the month nears.

An I gotta nice short barrelled Ithaca Model 37 deer slayer 12 gauge slug gun. Only holds five rounds, but you should see the exit hole after that thing mushrooms out. Good for that close in kinda shootin. Dont be scart them fricken beaners. You boys think you got it bad a buddy a mine got stopped six times on the Niagara River last week. Coast Guard, Homeland Security, Border Patrol, Niagara Sheriffs, Erie Sheriffs, and NYSDEC Con Officer. Called me up all kinds a rantin What the hell is goin on round here.....I'll be damned and they can all go to hell if we can't even go fishing in this country.

Several of us are headed down at once like I said, you never know who may be going..
As the date nears I'll have more info and where we plan to stay. Kay is onboard at the moment, I hope the crud down there calms down a little.

Todd.. Thanks.

I would have to agree. Fork has to be the most popular tourney lake in the state week in and week out. At least for me, the 2 pounders have been hard to come by, though I still seem to be catching fair numbers of slots and all the 8-13 inchers you can shake a stick at. This has held true for a variety of different presentations, water depth and different areas of the lake.

Not that many two pounders were weighed in JCO Saturday for the quality of the field. I was a bit surprised as we found the fish biting well as did other teams.

I have spoken to a well known guide a few times over the past year and he said that he isn’t seeing the numbers of 14-16 inch fish as in the past and also states that his slot numbers have been down over the past couple of years.

I am betting that delayed mortality plays a part along with the retreads getting tired of free rides to the Minnow Bucket and LFM.

Looking at Media this year…. Here are the 10 pound sacks with all unders. I excluded the sacks with overs because it did not appear that those teams would have had 10 pound sacks with 5 unders. I checked for the results for 2009 to compare but they did not appear to be available.

There is no way in heck Michele is going to agree to a trip to Falcon after what has gone on down there...Heck she won't even agree to an El Salto trip and there has been no danger there!!

Pickle&Barb on Falcon....
I believe we'll have 5-6 other boats accompanying us as well.. They can fend for their
selves for accommodations if it comes down to it.

That sounds like a sweet deal on the Digs.. Ya think we could rent it out for 4-5 days ?????
