I was told that they had a calibration error and the big under went through on the error. I was told that the fish weighed about 2.1 and was 14 3/4 inches form a guide that knows the guide that won the boat. |

I was up there when he weighted the fish and saw it in the bag but I coouldn't tell how big it was from where I was watching...I know they took it around the Jeff Welch who was on the side of the trailer... I assumed they were going to take pics... OzzieFish "Glory to GOD in the Highest" www.visionlure.com www.doublezzcustomlures.com

Well.....hehehehe. Glad you posted Todd.......I can tell you that I don't usually fish big bass tourneys....too much luck involved......I thought about fishin this one....even went down there friday to possibly register....I asked one question at the sign up area.....The question was....... How do you guys measure the fish? Do you go by TPWD guidelines as spelled out in the book? I was told by the person at the booth that I had the option of not fishin the tourny.......which I excersized and did not fish it.......... On a side note I went to the last two hourly weigh in's and watched how the fish were measured.....guy was'nt even pinchin the tail....what a joke................ I know...Iknow...I must be a trouble maker.....just won't get with the program.....hehehehehahahahahahaaaaaaaaa. Was also told that the little fish he did weigh was caught on a non berkeley spoon trolling with the big motor..........which i see him doing with his customers all the time.......what a joke. "I don't see on the results where a boat was awarded for the biggest under?" What am I missing? Did they give away a boat for the biggest under or not? If so who won it and what was the weight? R2h |

The guy that caught the 2.96 is the pres. of the lake Fork Sportsman soc.. Clint was right there with him when he weighed it. Clint told me the guy thought it was 2.4 maybe, and it popped up at 2.96 he was surprised indeed. Hummmm. I know many tickets were handed out, it was weird the way the guy was measuring any fish close to the 16" inch mark. I squeaked one by the old Bassturd somehow, man he stroke the tail on that fish no less than 9-times. I was sure I'm getting a ticket too.. The Game Wardens were right behind him the whole time; both days, very intimidating to say the least. I've never seen anyone measure fish the way he did, opposite of how all other fish handlers I've seen do it. This guy was off on another page from the rest of us fur-sur. KBD Fishing

The story I got was that Pickle was scared to face the competition. So in a drunken rage of cheap whiskey chased with sandbass urine, snuck in the basschamp trailer in the middle of the night. Urinated on all their computer equipment causing the scales to malfuntion. He was heard at the weighin yellin piss on ya'll. |

Yes, the 2.96 won a boat, an SX190 w/150, the Over won a boats too, SX200 w/200. Nice package that... I wanted it--- to sell. LOL I don't know how some of you guys did, or if you even fished it.. The bite on Saturday was off the chart, most fun I've had with a top water in a long time. Kay was catching them right on the edge of the Gator grass in what must have been 10" inches of water. Nice fish too, lots of slots--you know those 16-1/4 heart breakers. We also caught some very nice heavy’s, some over 7-lbs. It was fun.. Sunday sux'd, the wind was howling the opposite direction from Saturday and messed up some good holes. We only managed to catch a bunch of cookie cutter dinks about 12-14 inches--Zero Slots. Big change from Saturday, and I didn't adapt well before the weather ran us off the water.. KBD Fishing
