Yeah, it was on. The ol sunk ship if you know what I mean. Any timber around there in 4 foot of water is holding fish for sure. Go with what you know on that ol fairy wand and you'll be just fine. Biggest we had was about six but had one hooked that was for sure bigger than that. The sunk bridge on that road bed is holding the bigger fish..... you just may have to take a ticket and stand in line to get on it. Thanks Zeet, We had pretty good luck near the old ship area 2-weeks ago. Tons of boats there that day, prolly 100 trailers in the parking lot. Later in the day we did good/better on white chatterbaits with swim shad trailers 2-5 foot. Hope it don't rain Saturday morning.. KBD Fishing | |||||||||

I have one last weekend at the deer lease then I believe a trip to Monti is in order before pre-fishing Cedar Creek. My old boat has not been in the water for 3 months now....  Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I've fished Champs on the Creek in Feb.. It's not the best time to be on that body of water.. The winning sacks came from up north.. Traps and small cranks, on do nothing looking banks..Way up north, I F'd up and didn't scout that far. The main body of anglers were all down south pounding the docks, same as me. I hate that lake, to dam many docks. My advice would be: To seriously scout the northern sections of the lake, it's a long run but more than likely worth it. You've got to get away from the crowds and find unmolested fish--if that's possible in Feb on the creek.. Did I tell you I hated that lake .. KBD Fishing |
