I know this post is useless without Pictures.. LOL.. Took the Kid's out Saturday around 11:30 once it warmed up, a little windy but not to bad. It started out real bad with only 2-fish in 3-hrs. We were up north in the timber. The place was just getting beat to death, boats everywhere; the outlet had no less than 10-boats fishing the current for dinks to fill out there limits. Sometimes you need to do a 180' from the rest of the field. So; we went south, found some nice areas with 62-63.5 degree water and reeds and NO other boats in sight. The very backs of coves [ BINGO ]we found very good numbers of fish up to 7-lbs. I caught the Numbers, Bo. my S&L caught one over 6-lbs and had good numbers too, lots of 3-4 lb chunks all males. I knew we would find some spawning females sooner or later. Kristy my Daughter, didn't catch fish in big numbers but she did put a bigg'n in the boat over 7-lbs. Our day starting out so horrible, reminded me of a post I read on the TFF*** " How do you blank on a power plant lake"***.. LOL... well friends I was living that for 3-hrs and I couldn't believe it.. Sometimes you have to go the less beaten path to find what you seek. Last Saturday was a testament to that. KBD Fishing | |||||||||

aWon a T on Brandy Branch this weekend doing just what Billy said. 6 tournaments going on at the same time. We decided to fish Cold water side 58 degree water 7 fish all day. Sucked, but we won and I guess that is what counts. | |||||||||

Nice Todd!! Chuck and I went Yesterday in search of the coldest water we could find..LOL. It was tough to say the least, but thats how we like it. Found some 43 degree water and stayed with it for 4 hours...managed 3 keepers for 6 lbs. out of that area. Was cool to watch that Andrew kid, you know the guy thats been out of his jon boat every day for 3 weeks,,,saw him hook 3 all day...only boated 1 small one...he's a tough kid and pretty good stick... Might come join you and hollywood this Sunday at the BLT...; I'm still real sore and takes a couple days of healin' eveytime I go fishin....... | |||||||||
