Well you never know when the devil will jump up and smack ya right in the face. The S.O.B. did last Wednesday, we really didn't know what to think, or do. Hadn't told but a hand full of people until now. Kay has breast cancer. We just got back from a consultation on what we need to do decision wise. We didn't like what we heard so we're getting another opinion, maybe two.. Her survival rate is high that's good, I don't know how it's going to affect her psyche, or her ability to compete in the upcoming events that soon lay ahead. We have a 4-6 week window to make a decision, I don’t want to wait that long. Sooner the better is my line of thinking. The tournaments and fishing in general, that's all here- nor- there as far as I'm concerned, without her, I'd just die.... KBD Fishing | |||||||||

Oh my god Billy..... This is the last thing I expected to hear brother. You and Kay have been the rocks of Lake Fork for as long as I have been around. If there is anything we all can do please let us know. We will stand by you and her forever and as long as it takes to beat this god awful disease. Update on current events are as is, looks like Kay will be out of commission for about 5-6 weeks once she has the procedure in early February. Prolly longer before she can take a bone jarring boat ride if one should come up in competition. Looks like our season will be on hold for the very near and maybe distant future.. I might try a few events solo or invite Sink or my S&L to help me out.. If they've a mind to.. Don't count us out for the long run, we'll be back for sure.. I'll try to make some weigh-ins to see you bunch of Hooligans.. I do miss ya-ya know.. LOL.. KBD Fishing | |||||||||

Thanks for all the kind offers, you guys are awesome.. We're learning more about this disease than I really ever wanted to know. The Doctors are very aggressive in their approach in treatment--very aggressive. This coming Wednesday she reports for a 7-hr round of test. I'm happy to know the medical staff wants to look at everything before any surgery. One thing I did learn yesterday is that even after the initial treatment/surgery there’s an 80% chance she'll have to go under Chemo-Radiation. That scares me as much as the Cancer, people die from that stuff KBD Fishing | |||||||||
