How offen do I change your oil in the lower unit? I said I've never done it before...they were like what's up with that...well, I never had one on my boat longer then a year so I get it changed ever year!! hehehehehehe....Sad but True!!

PS this goes for the impeller too...

LOL..... you guys..

Because I use my boat year round, I change it 2 times a year. What I don't understand is :
I empty the units contents into a old coffee can 'X' amount comes out, I use twice as much oil to fill it up again than came out. ???????????????

It must be burning the oil under use.. Only explanation I can come up with..

If your gear ratio is 1.75 : 1 at 5800 rpm’s the prop shaft is turning 10,150 rpms

That's why I think it's very important to CK-Change the oil regularly IMO..
