What do I see first thing Sat morning... Lil E and Sweeten bang'n one of my spots at first light.. I guess I'm gonna have to start charge'n a finder’s fee if they keep cash'n on my holes.. LOL.. Looked tuff out there for most of the field, I noticed there were some dang good sticks in that line up... Real good. I had 2-nice slots right off the bat in front of the new Oakridge ramp at first light, then ZERO'd until 10:30 when I lucked into a unlikely spot loaded with fish. This spot yielded my first 3-keepers in minutes.. Unreal... they went 7 lbs & 7 oz. together.. I was smile'n ear to ear I tell ya. After those three, it was slot city for 45-minutes then it slowed down to a one here one there. At 3:00 pm I finally landed my 5-th keeper for the day. The last 2-fish were both in 2.4-2.5 range. One heck of a tournament stringer, and by myself no less... I was proud. These fish were spitting up 3-inch shad, they were huge round fat bellied chunks perfect unders in every way [wouldn’t ya know it, and I’m out goofing off] I was in 17-19 foot using soft plastics. Sinkey and one of his clients came by, I flagged them over for a visit and a go at the fish.. It had slowed down big time by then, he and Kyle stuck it out and eventually got Kyle his PB.. That was Sink's mission all along, Chris and Kyle had a real good day on the whole with jigs. Later after they vacated the area I was in they proceeded to break Kyle’s PB again 30-mins before going back to the ramp on a big ol LFT jig. Great Job Chris !!! Thumbs up, I know how difficult, and how much pressure it can be trying to get someone their biggest fish ever.. You did good. We fished different styles Sink and myself, but had great results each. He should win if he's on my spots.. LOL.. I did catch a nice slot in my cove late Sunday on a spinnerbait in about 3-foot in timber.. Also --- FatterHag was in my cove twice Sunday. Dam I don't need his azz in there, it's gonna pop in Penson real good this year if it's anything like 2006--wooooo weeeeee. KBD Fishing | ||
