I don't want to bore you guys..
with the details...
But I'm toast for the tournament season this year..
May get to fish some big opens—maybe????

Kay has chosen a radical route to insure her health going forward. (very wise IMO)

Her decision, consist of a double mass, full reconstructive surgery, radiation 5X-weekly for 6-weeks, chemo 1X every 3-weeks for 3 months.
She's about to enter hell on earth from what I can gather.

Amazingly with all that laying ahead of her, she thinks of me..
She’s conceived several scenarios for me to compete in her absence.. None of which I'll pursue, not this year anyway.. I'm without a doubt not worthy of a women of her caliber.. She is...next to my children’s birth, the most wonderful thing that's ever happened to me..

Thanks for the update Billy, Connie and I have been wondering what the plans were and I have been unable to give you a call. I think I speak for everyone here... Updates are very much appreciated.

As hard as it is to believe one would willingly put themselves thru that hell, ya'll are doing the right thing. She will beat the cancer and together ya'll will get through the treatments.

I think you are making the right decision on tournaments this year. I remember when Connie was going thru her chemo treatments and how it knocked her in the dirt for several days after each treatment. About 2 weeks after each treatment she will be feeling fine and ya'll will be able to do some fishing together.

Hang in there KBD... We all are here for ya'll and please do not hesitate to ask for help my friend. We all think we are strong but something like this will bring down even the strongest of men. Let your friends help carry some of your load -- physically and emotionally. I can't imagine how much harder it would have been on my family had it not been for our church family and friends.

People who are close to you will feel helpless throughout this ordeal. By letting others do some things for you it will be mutually beneficial.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. It lifts our hearts greatly, thank you..

The decisions I have to make are in her well being and recovery.
I'm 100% certain after the surgery she'll be at Fork to recoup. In Arlington our house there has two daughters and two grandkids and the dogs that love to jump in her lap. The 2 1/2 yro grand daughter Kya won't understand why she can hug Mimi.

At Fork, Kays mom Bobbie, and our oldest daughter Kristi can help if I have to go into work. Much better environment to heal up and get her wits about her again..

We'll do the same thing after the Chemo treatments because of the reduced ability to fight off infection. With the grandkids being walking talking germ pools, I think that best too.

The surgery was set for March 10-th, after yesterday we were informed they're trying to move it up..

Pick..... You and Barb are one awesome pair brotha..

I've never given a second thought about a tattoo my whole life honestly. I'm thinking about getting the pink ribbon with the FOR LIFE insignia in show of support for this rampant affliction..
This disease can be avoided on one front in particular.. After many request for the results of all the testing to resolve the question, finally we got an answer... it’s Hormonal.. !!!

The Cancer was noted as Estrogen receptive...
Do you know what that means ???

It was brought on by a prescribed treatment (pill) by a doctor prolly getting kick backs from a pharmaceutical company.. It's a common practice with women that have had a hysterectomy.

The particular pill Kay had been on, was pulled from the shelves almost a year ago.. In trying to obtain the clinical name of the drug, we have encountered opposition from a few medical staff members..

In order to get it, you have to go through channels ie...red tape..

Apparently ---kept very much from the main stream of the news media there have been some law suits up North over the drug used. The one that Kay had been using for 7+ years..

This was caused by something and someone we trusted to be good for us.. It wasn't!!!!, just like some of those movies where the Bad Med company tries to hide a Boo Boo we're in the wake of the damage done. This could have been avoided, if not for a faulty pharmaceutical..

Trust nothing and believe in less when it come to Med companies..

We have a law team at work right now..

These gals we got Billy are tougher than woodpecker lips as one of my little nieces often quotes. It was good to see you guys Sunday morning. Kay told us there were some tough decisions to be made this week it was quite obvious it was weighing heavy on both of your minds. I think she made the right decision and as stated above we and the entire J C Outdoors team stand with you and behind you in support. We will bombard Heaven daily on Kays behalf and in support of both complete healing and support for you both.
You will both come out of this closer and stronger both as individuals and as a couple. It goes without saying that KBD is Lake Forks favorite coed team.
Do not hesitate for a moment to call on us and allow us to help in any capacity, use that beautiful Lake Fork home for a refuge and a place of healing and restoration.
For this 2011 Lake Fork Spring Teams Season every boat will be required to fly a pink ribbon on their trolling motor in honor of Kay and her fight against breast cancer.
Trust in the Lord and he will see you through.

Be Blessed
