Fishing was tuff, the wind sucked, my hands were cold.... But it was really nice to get to see everyone again after so long. Sorry I missed you guys Dennis, Terry, & Zach... It was great to see Kay out at weigh in. I bet it was more painful for her to watch all those fish come across the stage and not be competing than the surgery itself... :-)

The competition is a big part of fishing tournaments but over the years, the BSing after the tournament is always a great end no matter how the fishing was.

Corey and I apparently did not catch as many fish as most of you but we did catch enough to keep us interested. Caught several slots up to 6 pounds and culled twice to get to our final weight. Corey blames herself because she lost a 2 pounder half way back to the boat but I keep telling her that it happens and for all we know that fish was in the slot anyway. I am very proud of Corey for hangin in there and fishing all day. She once again contributed to our limit with the largest keeper of the day.

All I know is that going into Birch first thing in the morning was a mistake.... I was beat to my spot by mere seconds and then they proceeded to park the boat on top of the creek bend and fish everywhere around it for an hour. When I finally could get over there we gave it some time before casting to the area and I immediately got bit but the fish hung me up and I had to break off. Not another bite after that. What a waste of 2 hours...
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Shoulda went to broadtree... LOL....

It was great to see everyone.. PQ,Corey looked wore out but in good spirits, I know her and Kay had a tight grip in that blanket. Conditions looked tuff, I know they had to be. I'm proud of you guys, you did good.. That goes for the regulars here too, I know it can be frustrating with the fish on the chew but you can't get to or stay on them with winds like Saturday..
