It was good times this weekend, I enjoyed seeing some of the FTN gang.
I'm proud of how many in this small group of anglers cashed a ck..
I don't know how many contestants we had this year --but-- by the looks of it --A LOT--.

You guys got skills... Very proud of the great showing with the odds so great, skeeter has to be one the toughest events to cash in IMO..

You know it's game on when the bottom seat is a 2.41--- mear hundredths of a pound seperated 10-th to 5-th place almost every hour..

Congrats to Oz,Zach,Sims, and to anyone else I didn't know about. Great job guys !!!
Charles you missed out on some fun and food Saturday night, I was looking forward to seeing you.. It's been a while, maybe next time..

Skeeter was a beating with no wind and high temps but I am glad we caught fish. Glad you made it up for another one Wes -- despite that dang sombrero... :-)

Billy, I think the best part of the Skeeter tourny is spending time with friends. Had a great time all the way around.

Ozzie, thanks again for opening up your place to Wes and I for the weekend and I am glad you made it this year. It has been a while since the three of us loaded up and spent some time on the water.

Billy, thanks also for the gathering at the Forktress.... That was some good yard bird and the company as always was great.

Congrats to all who got a check... Fishing was fairly tuff. Although we caught fish all day, it was just a grind making them bite.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Well…… Tommy came out Friday instead and stayed till late. Valentine is home from school and she needed some of my time so I stayed on projects outside here at the house and spent time with her. That is about all she wrote….. There is always next year.

Holler next time you are up this way. How far are you from Austin? I will be driving Val back down to school in August.
Thanking the Lord, all day long

Caught 2 sandies all weekend..... one was on a jig in a brushpile and the other Sims caught on a crank-bait in 4 ft of water.....

Not bothering us.... but did see them schooling all around us. You can tell the difference for sure between sandbass and largemouths

Congratulations to all of you that cashed check!

We were catching them good on Saturday, just all the wrong sizes. Sunday was a struggle for us. We pulled up on one of my go to points close to a crappie fisherman, he told me a man and woman had just worked that point for an hour and caught some nice fish that went in the live well. I told Ken it's time to move along cause the Dysons have already cleaned this point out :-)

It was good to see Wes, Picou and Ozzie.

Wes, I stopped by Saturday & Sunday :-)

Over all it was a fun time. I hope to do it again next year.
