Does Barb even let you fish anymore, heck everytime I see you now you are up at weigh in under the pavillion or down by the boat ramp with a t-shirt, hat, and sharpie marker asking for Billy D's, Sinkeys, Rossman, Chuck Turners, Maples and Eric Wrights autographs hahahahha bawahahahahahhaha

Yea I actually witnessed Maples catch that last fish as I was driving across the bridge.....He and Arron must have measured it 10 times LOL...funny thing is they took it in early and used the courtesy board and I saw it touch the line once...they took it over to weigh in and they didn't even measrure their fish? Now you see why I go to weigh ins and observe..........

..... to many what ifs. Heck the first time they weighed Eric's fish his bag came in at mid 9's. He has a cull em right and said no way weigh them again and came up to 10.14.

..... I also noticed them not measuring fish and that is a complete joke to me too.

Just saying how many times does that cost people.

I think your confused Billy...I saw the hole thing...and both of them were in the boat and took off for the marina in the boat..I then drove over to weigh in Imediatly.

Wait a minute..you must have seen them earlier because they took 2 fish in and weighed them earlier because they caught them so deep..they must have been loading their to go weigh in the first time...by the way since when can you bring in unders early? I was told at the last media I fished that you could only bring in an over early? And yes, If only one guy was fishin in the boat..thats a DQ.

Totally agree.... Fish care is part of a tournament.

I think Media bends and twists rules to much. I mean how do they measure some peoples fish and not others. Other trails at least bump every fish.

Plus I would have loved to bring a sick fish in Saturday but I was all the way across the lake in the hurricane. So I nutted up and baby sit her and she made it to weigh in.

Being a TD is tuff...but thats the job..This year I have seen multiple infractions in several trails...It is hard to take when you bust your arse all day to be honest and follow the rules and you get to weigh in and watch some yahoo who did'nt walk away with your money.....Maples and walker are being watched..and not just on this trail......

This is a very interesting discussion. I always assumed that you could not bring in an under just because it was fixing to die.

All this talk makes me want to avoid Media events in the future because I cannot stomach getting bumped out of the money by someone not playing by the same rules I am following. I have wasted hours babysitting a fish throughout the day to make sure it stays good for weigh in. I have tossed back fish that are just too close to take a chance for fear of it touching the line at weigh in.

If all it takes is for me to use the courtesy board for a fish not to be measured then maybe I should change my game plan....

All that said, I can understand Media wanting to get the fish across the scales as fast as possible and into the tank. But... They should still be bumping a close fish every time.

I know of a team last week that had two 2plus fish they had to release because they were looking poor...if they had known you can bring them in anytime you like I'm sure they would have done just that...They had a little over 8 pounds so these two fish would have put them in the money!! Forks a tuff lake to fish for big unders but everyone needs to be playing by the same rules...

His fish were also drunk, he was afraid they'd fail the sobriety test.. water to alcohol level was at .973

Mark is correct.. Did I just say that ?? (whatever) LOL..

Yes they've been getting credit for fish weighed in early for years now.. I know--heII I've watched them do it time and time again..

To even the field and make on the water fish handling part of the game--as it should be--and is for most. Only an Over should be allowed in early IMO..

..... wait wait wait..... you are telling me that they weighed a fish and then they were given it back. That kind of chit aint gonna fly. Again only overs should be weighed in early or it should be a dang big bass tourney. If you want to weigh your whole sack early becuase of circumstances like simms that is cool for sure. But weighing one then going back and weighing two and then only having one to two fish in the livewell vs everyone else having 5 and trying to keep them alive. Plus I have seen fish loose weight in a livewell from stress and what not. This factors into things when we are talking about ounzes to getting paid and not.

Dude.... Zeet, they figured out an angle and use it every event, especially when it gets hot, and their right there at the weigh-in site..

Pretty savvy, to bad I hadn't thought of it..

You take fish care almost completely out of the picture and a gut hooked fish is weighed QUICKLY and ---no more worries..

David Haas keeps the fish in the tanks after they weigh-in, it won't go back in the boats well... They be free to resume their game one fish less to mess with.. Not bad HUH !!!!

This is why I do not fish this trail. One year was enough for me. What about the guys that brought an over in after the scales closed and he let them weigh in. I think Sims and Big John went and raised a stink about that and Hass let that go. I will keep my money before I spend it with Media.

I did not know that unders can be weighed early. I did not hear this but if it was announced, then everyone has the same option. I do agree that fish care should be part of the competition with only overs weighed early.

I agree with Billy. If that is what anyone is allowed to do then more power to them for executing a good plan.

If Mark throws down a fall trail. I hope he packs all the events into the Sept-Dec timeframe. Have it done with by the 2nd weekend in December.

Corey and Aaron have been doing it all along. And not just in Summer. Even in Feb., March and April. If they have big unders, they take them in, 1 or 2 at a time.
I agree with all said above, but Media has to stick tighter to their rules. Even with Eric and Sweeten, who I consider friends. But 1 month, their told they cant fish anymore since they are guiding, the next month, they are back in.
Too many inconsistancies with Media. Rules need to be rules and not changed.
But if you look at what Corey and them are doing, they never go past Little Caney. And its smart. They catch good ones, go weigh them. They dont have to babysit. And I agree with Zach. There were time last year, when me and him were up around Birch in the Summer with fish on the brink of dying, and we had to take shifts to keep them going and alive. Well, thats very unfair to a team that is right next to weigh in and just runs back and forth like its the Skeeters Owners.
And on the weights and scales, Ive questioned them for years. Last year Zeeter and I came in with a sack that I know was over 10, and it locked in at low to mid 9's. We fish that lake enough to know what we have, and what we dont.

They need to correct the problems, or the numbers will definately fall over the next couple of years.
