Hey Guys just a lil FYI.. Oakridge marina is having a 30-yr Anniversary Hoe-Down Saturday. Kay and I will be there representing Dobyns Rods along with a host of other fishing Icons. Got some live music and lots of stuff for the young'uns. It might be worth your time and effort to mosey on over for a while.. We'll have some very nice R&R set-ups you can get your hands on.. I'll check with the lil' woman. We might come out and play. What is the schedule of events out there? We both had the day off yesterday. I took her up the river on Hubbard. I posted a link to Oakridge for the events and times on the first thread.. Kay and I won't be there to long on Sat.. I've had some health issues this week and the blood thinners won't let stay in the heat for long periods of time ---Yet Hope to see you guys out and about.. Should be a fun time.. S.O.S. PQ.. Just when things are looking up--sump'n else always screws it up. Got a blood clot behind my left knee, cutting off blood flow to my calf and foot. Hurts like all get-out, Plavic's is a blood thinner I'm taking to help the flow get down there.. Spent Tue-Wed in the hospital, don't want to do that again anytime soon.. Brenda, Val and I dined at the resturant last Saturday. Our report is not good. First off, they LOST our order and we had to reorder after 15 minutes. I ordered the $14.99 grilled butterfly shrimp plate. Turned out to be 6, not more that average size shrimp, not butterflied and a small amount of fries and okra. What a joke. The wife had a burger that was not very good according to her. V got the ceasar chicken salad and she said it was good though she only ate half of it??? Brenda was not interested in trying the pie. We stopped at Tiffany's on the way back and picked up a couple of pieces to go. They had some neat stuff going on for the kiddos. Waterslides and stuff like that. Wish to Fish was there and offered to take us out for a boat ride. There was a dunking booth and Kurt Kelly was on the stool so I started in that direction but he traded out with someone else and exited. Dang-it!! Thanking the Lord, all day long --- tomc |
