I'll be bass fishing under the guns at Fort Ticonderoga NY Fri and Sat. An aluminum boat Looping casts and upside down reels will be part of the pattern. Never tried this lake mid summer - always spring and fall.. There will be a learning curve. Hm-- Yank says Grande Rattlesnake? I wonder if it would fool our NY/VT bass. ? |

Awesome Elder...........we stayed in a house boat at Chipmans Point just south of Ti....we hammered em in that cove in the spring.... there's a deeper hole in between the boat and the grassline (closer to the grass line) kind a like a depression or pond.....goes from 5 all around it down to 10 or so feet. The point behind the sail boat is good at times and right in on shore in front of the fort was good in the spring. Don't give up on that spot....we had 30 fish days then zero the next day. They come in and outta there. Flukes, Lizards, Beavers with weight pegged to the hook in the thicker stuff. And the fish are BAMFs bad, mad and mean. Good Luck. That pond is where this dude won the Everstart. http://www.bassfan.com/news_article.asp?ID=3999 |

Yeah man- That picture I found there is pretty much a spot burn. That creek channel and grass flat behind the boat in the pic lights up with nice ones. (At least in the Spring and Fall) Flukes -- yes indeed.. good Fluking fish in there |

We did best with watermelon red flukes tails dipped chart and watermelon chart zoom lizards. One guy threw a lizard on guy threw the fluke till the fish told us what they wanted. That hole is about dead center of that grassline. |

I got 6 bass at Ti. - Water was dirty.. I guess we should have fished up North It was tough- best fishing was last hour top water fished day two at Lake George (so we were closer to the race track)- and got 4 more, all deep on jigs, Including a 4 lb largemouth which was our biggest of the weekend- Not a great two days fishing- But my fishing partner did hit the Late double Sat at Saratoga for a nice 500 dollar payout. Dinner & Drinks were on him. So it worked out that way...! good time.. |
