For ease and mobility I would think a deck boat would be your best bet. I personally have a 21ft. Seapro center console with a 150 Yamaha V-Max. I love it and it did really well going up the Pecan Bayou.
Here is a link to one of our expeditions up The Bayou.

Check out www.boattraderonline.com.

A pontoon boat is great for crappy trips.

I can tell you not to buy a Ranger bay boat! Mine has had more than several problems including 4 seperate cracks in the gel coat, pump failures, cracks in the welds on the trailer, water in the bilge, etc.............

My landlord has a small Cajun cc for sale. He is asking $7900 for it but I dont think he'll get it. It looks very clean and I think it is 18ft? I also think it has a 130hp Johnson on it? Anyhow, if your interested I'll go take some pics and email them to ya! I can also find any details you might ask or even better - I can give you his name and number and he can tell you everything.

Let me know!
All In A Days Fun!!!

If your wanting to carry 7-10 people, I'd say a pontoon boat.
