Straight up...glad to see you on here big D... I figure your on here because of the recent "activitys" on Fork...Well...Now that your here, I will tell my side of things that went down....The TD walked up to me at the boat and asked me what I knew about the last time E had a trip..I said the last trip that E had that I knew about was the thursday and friday before the Basscat tourney...Seems James Caldemeyer had the flu and needed someone to take his trips scheduled for that Thursday and Friday... I had wanted to prefish for the tourney as me and E were fishing the tourney together...But alas, E took James's trips those days...Turns out that was only 3 weeks before and there is a 30 day rule.....End result..E gets pissed at me for telling the truth...Well...He should'nt have put me in that position...I WAS NOT THE ONE THAT PROTESTED HIM!!!!!....If he is pizzed at me...then so be it...As I have said before on here You will always here the truth from me...Bad or good...By the way...Chuck Turner and service marine had absolutly nothing!!! To do with any of this!!!!!!! As far as the issues with Matt and howitzer...I freekin have no Idea and don't really care...It's a seperate issue...The whole sittuation ended up costin' me money and a place in the end...But I know I did the right thing and thats all that matters to me.......Good too see you on here and I hope everyone gets past this and see's it for what it is........ I don't understand how tournaments got so cliquish and rule oriented in the last couple of years. I remember once upon a time fishing a certain tournament with Caldemeyer and being disqualified AFTER we weighed our bag and protested by team number 2 because our running light was flickering on and off when we came in. Come off pad and it would come on...last small team type tournament I fished and will probably ever fish. Who would want to fish a tournament on Fork with all of the garbage and drama anyway? Wonder why there are so few new people joining the ranks as opposed to years past? You win and you are taking advantage, a cheater, jackpotter, prefishing during off limits, an information whore, or leap frogging "someones" hole. Sure is refreshing to be fun fishing with a friend- drop shotting east 515 and having Corey Maples stare at you like you knocked up his sister and playing this defensive game heaving spinnerbaits 4 pillars away trying to secure "their" area....what in the ••••? I have a feeling many of the weekend circuits are sadly going to disappear for lack of attendance in the coming year. (Not something I will enjoy, it all brings business) Between the benefits, big bass, club, ect ect, half of the people are simply fishing for points, bragging rights or because they are pre entered anyhow. Seems like the top 5% spend half their time making sure they don't break the rules while 20% stay up the night before going over the dos and don'ts with a fine tooth comb....the other 75% just fish and have fun...aka donating. Tournament fishing on Fork has really taken a turn from the worse. Not from the tournaments themselves but all the bullsh!t with that. Sit back and think how many long term friendships have been ruined over these piss ant payouts...yeah I'd write off someone for doing me wrong during the bassmaster classic...but ••••...a $190 first place workingmans tournament? Here, Ill have the balls to say it. Most of the problems revolve around Eric. And here what I mean. Many people get pissed cause they cant beat him, so they make up excuses and reasons to beat him. My problem with him is this, and he's my friend, and I dont mind saying it. He is a GREAT stick, but he needs to get the mental game down, and heres what I mean. I have seen him throw too many fits at weigh-ins, where it is normally HIS OWN fault why he gets DQ'ed or kicked out of the tournament. He needs to take some responsibility for it. He's a good kid, and better than that, the little bit of money we fish for on Fork isnt worth it in my book. But, if you know you have broken a rule, no matter what the rule, and your called out on it, man up. Say yes I did, I forgot, sorry, or what ever, and move on to the next one. Dont act like a 5 year old that got his toy stolen. It doesnt look good. Other than that, he's a good kid and better stick, and I really hope he gets a hold of it in the future, cause he's gonna F' up in a big tournament and get black balled for something stupid if he doesnt. But as far as TD's go, this is why Im not fishing out there anymore. Listen to me, click or no click, friends or no friends, set your rules and STICK TO THEM! Thats not just at JCO, but mainly at Media! It has become an absolute joke out there with the rule bendings. I really hope it gets better. There, vented done! lol! | |||||||||

There are not any trails without drama and one would not have to be around a trail long to find it. Take the elites for instance, are there any of the events that don’t have some sort of publicized confrontation between anglers? I can only imagine the “click drama” that does not hit the media that the anglers keep amongst themselves. The NFL is an absolute joke. So and so tweeted this and it gets air time for a week. Anything the media can drum up from a drama standpoint is the top story, no matter what the sport is. Over the last few years, I see a lot of the anglers I am familiar with, fishing more towards localization. A lot less overall travel. Thus the trails have become more confined vicinity wise. I fish alot of workinman stuff here at Joe Pool, I really like the break on wed. plus it keeps me in walkin' around money during the week. I won alot more money out there than I did fork this year, but im out there at least twice a week.. there are some gripy old guys that get bent if you get near "their" brushpile, but other than that its a good time.. Sinkey is just saying. He needs to grow the "F" up if he's going to have a chance going forward if he's going to play with the big boyz.. Secondly.. I won't risk one dollar to a guy that depends on his daily existence on his winning from weekend anglers.. Com-on now, that's F'd up for guys just wanting to have some fun, those anglers have to swim with the sharks to play.. I remember when it was fun fishing the few events on the lake before we had people making their living off the tournament trails.. If I could fish that much and got beat **BY ANYONE** it would be a miracle (or it should be) That--- right there is a big part of the unfair advantage the few have, against the many on Fork.. Only recourse is not to fish them and move on.. Those are my thought and I'll gladly bring them up to Eric anytime.. Everyone is entitled to THEIR opinion on any subject..
