We went out to Lavon as a family this weekend for some knee boarding behind the Skeeter. We did this for the first time last summer right at the end August or something like that and never did it again. The kids had a great time and have been bugging me to go back out and knee board some more. Finally we made time and hit the water for an afternoon of fun.

We tried to do this on Saturday but Corey only got to make 2 runs behind the boat before the storms blew in and scared us off the lake. So Sunday after church we headed back to the lake and spend some quality family time.

Corey went first:

She is getting better each time and goes outside of the wake back and forth with no problems. She is working on spinning around and can get turned backwards but is struggling with transferring the handle between her hands behind her back. I have confidence that she will be doing 360s in no time.

Jessica was next:

She is more timid and not really willing to put her neck on the line trying stunts. She has ventured outside of the wake a few times and can make it back to the middle with no issues. As soon as Corey figures out the 360 I am sure that Jessica will be trying to make it happen herself.

Connie went 3rd:

She is happy just being on the knee board behind the boat. She is still working on her left handed strength from the last horse accident so she just enjoys being pulled by the boat.

Even dad had some fun:

I need a dew rag or something to prevent sunburn on the scalp.... :-) The first time I had Connie driving the boat and she was having a very tuff time with the hot foot maintaining and constant speed. The second time I got out there I let Corey drive the boat and she had just as much difficulty maintaining speed. Pretty sure she said she ranged in speed from 16 MPH to 27 MPH..... :-)

It was a great time on the water and I look forward to doing it more often with the family. Next time we will bring the good camera and try to get some better pictures. These were taken with the cell phone by either Jessica or Connie.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I am going to have to start fishing tournaments on Fork again to redeem myself with the National Anthem thing.... LMAO.... At least I didn't need to have the words written on my hand on National television...

Hey, it was a bucket list thing and I can now say I did it. You and Stinky are the only ones who remember it -- and won't let me forget it... hahahahaha.......

Your harassment is not offensive at all Zeet... I can take it brother!!!!! Based on your feedback, I am considering singing at the next "trailering allowed" Bass Champs event.... lol.....

I'd rather you tease my singing ability than my fishing skills.... :-) :-) :-)
