We get tons of spammers on the "F" they work as a unit some 10-20 at a time. They probe our line of sight with B/S post like the one I made to see if we'll notice them.. It's funny how they approach it, why in the world would so many want to spam the site is beyond my understanding, it's actually unbelieveable if you were able to see what really goes on.. | |||

I gotta admit I been Ice fishin but I ain't no die hard hole peeper. Met a guy last week that had a $3k flasher with a underwater camera in a back pack. I ain't into pan fish that much. And I'd rather hunt grouse or fly fish for steel head, no why........cause standin on an icy lake in the wind (I won't spend the $ on a clam shell) when its in the teens or below is fricken cold. I don't need no freezin your toes numb excuse to drink I'll just go to the bar and teach the ice fishermens fat pale yankee wives with teeth how to 2 step. | |||

Haha..Good one Eldo. I spent 20 years in western Colorado high country in some of the worst blizzard conditions known to man. We took ice fishing to a whole new level. Custom built snowmobiles with custom built lite weight trailers to haul all our gear up to 10,000 feet to cut holes through 3 to 4 feet of ice....Although I will admit that most of that gear was beer and liquor. Barb was born and raised there and has made snow castles out of 12 feet of snow just to get to the front door of the house! After 20 years of those conditions the coldest I've ever been in my life was figuring out how to catch little pickles with Chuck during a tourney on fork, With snow falling and a 40 mph sustained wind for 8 hours. We figured something out and won the tourney that day with only three keepers. That very day I named him the ICEMAN out of respect. I also remember thinking that day that we were quite possibly the stooopidest 2 people on the planet.... I do think ole Zeet would enjoy my way of ice fishing out west much more than sittin' around in a little ice hut drinkin' skunk canadian beer.... | |||

Yeah man, that sounds cool Pick. There is certainly more than one way to ice fish- sometimes the suns warming you up and it makes Bourbon just the right temp (yes the beer will freeze- its a fact you Texans dont have to deal with much) ... - Not sure you can see the pic I posted.. But its not all panfish that Yankees catch thru holes in the ice- Salmon, trout, and even the occasional bless-ed bass. We jig em and we trap em. Its a good time ((when its not too cold)). I dont use a hut either - I have a little pop up I tuck into - and--- hey whatever happens in the pop-up STAYS in the pop up. Of course we have a foot of blizzard due here Friday - and for sure-- I'm not going fishing then. I'll stick to my stance that I like YOUR 40K bass boat, fancy underhand flippin type fishing (even when I dont catch em' like I want to) and you would like the stuff we do - You all would just need to try it!! |
