My grandfather has been bugging me to put together a trip to head down south for some redfish. We live in the Northwest so its a new species for me. I'm looking for someone who can provide me with info on when and where I should plan this trip to give us the best shot at a biggun. If there happened to be a great Texas bass lake nearby that would be great as well. I've been down there a few times and have yet to make it out fishing. We would be planning on driving down. I have a boat we would probably bring to do some bass fishing but would probably hire a guide for the red fish. Any info to help me out would be greatly appreciated. | ||

Welcome to the ramp Gone fishing. I would look into Louisiana for Red Fish and than Toledo Bend for Bass. I asked the same question about Red fishing a couple of months ago.
